The apartment was excellent, very modern, fresh and new. Good location, very helpful staff, well equipped, good for families with older children.

Easy to find, we received perfect instructions for the door code and the keys of the appartment without meeting in person (covid). Nice location, only the free parking can be a littl bit apart (you have to find it).

We stayed at the Vila Toca in October. We got the airport bus to the bottom of the street for €8 return. Just get off at the stop for the Savoy Palace and walk approx 200 meters up the hill . The location was perfect as it is in between the hotel district and the Old Town with many bars and restaurants nearby. Our room was number 20 and it overlooked the pool. The bed was huge the studio felt really spacious. The bathroom was also big and roomy. We ate in 1 night on our balcony as the kitchenette had all needed cooking utensils, microwave  and a fridge. Its a lovely spot to sit and have coffee in the morning too from your balcony watching the sun. Bruno the manager is available via watsapp and happy to give advice etc. We did not have a veichle but the bus routes and frequent service in Funchal is so so good, you can get anywhwere easily and cheap. The pool here is not heated but small so by the afternoon, it is warm enough for a dip on a sunny day. You can sit in the garden or patio or in communal room to read if in need of some shade. All in all, very good value and great location. Tip- Check out the little bar in  backstreet under tower block. €3 for 2 drinks and watch football with the locals!

Lovely place to stay just outside the main centre of Funchal and not too far away from Old Town. Only small so felt like we had our own swimming pool to ourselves.

Studio very clean, quiet, and well located. The only thing is the parking most of the time there is no free place and we had to use the paying one.

Maria was very helpful during our stay, the place has been recently upgraded and is well maintained.

I absolutely loved Les Terasses!! The views were incredible, the rooms were beautiful and the bed was absolutely the most comfortable I’ve slept in in the past two months of traveling throughout Europe! Our hosts were amazingly accommodating, helped us with our bags, recommended numerous restaurants and not to miss sight seeing around the island, and just our favorite conversations from our trip. Many stairs, but so is all of Madeira! Grab a drink and cool off in the infinity pool overlooking the valley and ocean.

Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior. Inside, there is a lovely hotel which has everything a traveller would look for. Quiet, peaceful, with sea view, a well equipped kitchenette, and great shower. A little hidden gem.

Vila Toca is a modern, very clean and comfortable apartment with a sea view from it's balcony. The Vila is quiet and exceptionally well kept with very comfortable beds and modern shower. There is a small kitchenette for self catering.

Liked the maid service which I had not expected. Bathroom really spacious and shower immense. Maria was lovely and helpful. Good location.

Spent 10 nights in this gem of a property. Bed very comfortable, air conditioning efficient, good size quality bathroom, good wifi, great mini-kitchen facilities plus a cool lounge to relax and a small pool to cool down in. Housekeeper Maria is delightful and helpful. A local told me that Toca stands for rabbit hole, this does not do justice to this five star burrow ideal for couples! The property can be approached via a challenging incline or a slightly less arduous route via some of the side streets. But then what do you expect on Madeira? You are never far from a climb or a spectacular view for that matter. Good range of dining options nearby from 5 course fixed price menus to gourmet dining. Buses pass close by on regular intervals so access to the centre of Funchal is straightforward and cheap plus the airport bus stop is also close by. Went on a guided day trip to the west of the island, plus used the interurban services to visit the central and eastern areas. Used several of the public sea-water lidos for swimming and took one of the dolphin watching boat tours - and saw dolphins which was a bonus! Vila Toca was a perfect base for us and we would highly recommend it.

Bruno was amazing in providing support but wish someone visits the property at certain time of the day or providing a Reception staff. I was expecting a beech front view but not all apartments are and I got little confused with it. I would certainly book again but a beech front view one.

Holiday had a bad start as plane diverted to Lisbon overnight due to closure of Madeira airport. Weather during the week was not very good. However, I have no complaints with Vila Toca. Newly rebuilt. Comfortable, spacious room with superb sunny balcony. Housekeeping excellent. Fairly close to restaurants. If you are elderly/have mobility issues be aware that there is a steep hill to climb to access main areas. I would return there again.

What a great find! Location in good, not far from centre of Funchal. Clean and well designed rooms. Several local restaurants and supermarkets. Easy access to room even though we arrived after 10pm. Highly recommended.

Maria is the best!!!! So helpful and friendly. She welcomed my family into the apartment and told us about all the amazing things to do in Funchal. The apartments in the building are newly renovated, beautiful, spacious, and clean. Maria cleaned the apartment every day but you can also request for her not to. Great location, walking distance to main part of downtown Funchal. There are restaurants and convenience stores a few mins walk.

Really couldn't fault it, helpful friendly staff, clean as a whistle, not to badly situated, cheap. Guess if you can afford more you wouldn't be looking at this place but I will definitely go back this accommodation

Its my second stay at Vila Toca and will return back there when I next visit Madeira. Its clean, modern but comfortable and well located!

I found myself needing to find self contained accommodation close to the Funchal hospital very urgently and came across this gem. The unit was larger than a hotel room with a kitchenette. I had a balcony overlooking the small pool area. Not only was the Vila close to the hospital it was also close to the Casino area, restaurants, bakery and small supermarket. My room was modern, clean and well maintained. Maria, the Manager, is an absolute gem. Nothing was too difficult for me and she even arranged for washing to be done.

Had a lovely stay. Great location, friendly staff would stay again.

Clean, spacious, very new with awesome views. Will probably stay there each and every time I visit Funchal. Very affordable!
