Nestled in Flat Rock, this charming house for $91 per night is a great option for your next trip. Imagine being in a place that feels like you are right on the set of Dirty Dancing! – In WNC where it was actually filmed!! When you visit Johnny's Bungalow at Mill House Lodge that is the feeling you get. Our condo overlooks a small lake where you can canoe, paddleboard, sit on the beach, relax on the dock and enjoy the beautiful view. Additional amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, fire pit (bring your own wood) and charcoal grills if a nice dinner is on the agenda. Johnny's Corner is located in Jordan Lodge on the bottom floor for easy access. Mill House Lodge began as a Mill in the 1800's and has been reimagined many times. It is a beautiful property close to Hendersonville, many NC festivals, Charles Sandburg Home and Flat Rock Playhouse (live plays are performed here). DuPont Forest, Bent Creek and the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway are nearby if you enjoy hiking, cycling or a relaxing drive absorbing the majestic beauty our mountains have to offer. Asheville is only a 35-minute drive where you can spend the day at the Biltmore Estate or partaking in the 50+ breweries that have made the area the “Craft Beer Capitol”. Highland Lake Wedding Venue and the cute little town of Flat Rock are in the immediate area. This one- bedroom condo has 2 full sized beds and a small kitchenette with mini fridge and microwave as well as some dishes to make a bite to eat at any time. Our condo is furnished with heat, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and Cable TV. Please come enjoy the serenity of this quaint property and you will definitely love the surroundings. It is simply beautiful in all four seasons famous to this Blue Ridge Mountain area! The Mill House Condos, which includes Johnny's Bungalow, was centrally located if you have apple picking in mind. The bungalow was comfortable, clean, and a nice base between your chosen activities. The hosts gave good info for check-in and for potential adventures. Have a great visit.

Door was not coded to us for entry so there was a delay in contacting the PM and gaining entry. The book in the room had very little info on Flat Rock. There are several great places within walking distance. TV/system remotes both had dead batteries and no instructions on what they were for. That being said, the location was great and it was a very relaxing stay.

To full/queen beds blocked the only entrance to the room making it impossible to open front door all the way. Extremely difficult to pull luggage around beds into the room. Door code would not work upon leaving the first day and was replaced 2nd day. AC ran 24 hours a day and would not cool under 78 degrees. They did bring a portable AC but never fixed the AC the 4 days we were there.

Our room was cheerful and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. The beds are super comfortable but with a 5 year old traveling partner we spent way more time watching the geese, playing in the sand at the "beach" section of the lake and playing in the pool. Mill House Lodge has been a go-to for our family for years and Johnny's Bungaloe is perfect due to the easy access from the parking area and no steps for my mom to have to struggle with. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. We will be back!

Nice place. Perfect for one. In town to visit family. Live Flat Rock and the small lake. My grandchildren enjoyed the pool when they came over.
