Partially renovated FL home in great location in South Miami near UM. Corner home with some traffic but not too bad at all. Very comfy beds, bedrooms need end tables and lamps (only ceiling lights throughout house). Kitchen cabinets and appliances all new but oven didn’t work (had to cancel Xmas dinner and scramble for reservations) and not fully appointed: silverware missing (3 forks total!), no oven ware, not great cookware, and one cup drip coffee maker….when house sleeps 8. Living room has a large trundle bed. No chairs or coffee table. This opens into two twins making the place able to sleep two more guests. Not comfortable for us but perhaps very tall guests would be better served. The dining area of the kitchen is the gathering place and could accommodate 8. The chairs a cute, funky! But plastic. Holiday weekend so when plumbing backed up, we were out of the house the whole day waiting for plumber and repair but it was done. Hosts not responsive enough…holiday weekend so tough ón everywhere but IMHO if you do not have staff working, you shouldn’t rent the house. Lastly, this is a nice large property on a corner, fully fenced. There is a gated driveway so the gate has to be manually opened and closed. A little annoying, but nice to feel more secure. Until you realize that someone or some thing is in the back room of the house. There is a car parked and a window air unit that runs the whole time. We did not investigate, but it was a little creepy.
