Our small group enjoyed our recent stay, and found the cabin to be exactly as advertised. We appreciated that, when requested, the driveway was cleared for access for vehicles to park.

This property was terrible. When we arrived there was 2 feet of snow in the driveway and access to the house was covered in snow. My wife fell while holding our 2 yr old trying to get into the house and hurt her shoulder. We contacted Vacasa regarding the snow issue. They stated they were working on getting a snow removal company to remediate the issue, but to use the snow shovels at the property to remove snow. Problem is there are not any shovels at the property. We drove into town to the General Store where they do not sell shovels. Once in the house, the large fridge was broken and was not disclosed to us. We had 10 people in the house and had to place frozen items on the deck so they did not defrost and had no room for all the groceries to be placed in the fridge. Water was leaking from in between the logs into the home. Definitely lack of maintenance on the home. When we woke up in the morning it had snowed an additional 18". We tried using sleds from the garage to remove the snow for 5 hours, but were unable to get 1 of the 4WD vehicles out. We had to walk down to the main road to flag down a resident. They were kind enough to pull the vehicle from the driveway. We again reached out to Vacasa regarding snow removal as we were expecting 40" of snow over the next 2 days. With having small children with us, we could not afford to get snowed in with the potential of over 6 feet of snow in the driveway so we decided to pack up and leave after 1 night. We reached out to Vacasa and were then told we should have brought our own shovels to the property. Not sure how you rent a winter home out without some sort of snow removal from the property. We have rented winter homes all over the country and never had this issue. We are working on obtaining a refund for the 3 nights we were not able to utilize the cabin. I would not recommend this property.

The house is spacious, great location and amazing views. It is a wonderful retreat. During our stay though we encountered several problems. The thermostat was restricted to 68 degrees and during the first night we had to sleep with jackets and hoodies on. Also, there were not to many kitchen amenities. There was no coffee maker, only plastic cups, no wine glasses, only few seasonings, and limited kitchen utensils and supplies. In addition, we had a water leak in the kitchen coming from the second floor’s bathroom that we could not use anymore. The Vacasa management crew did respond right the way and they were very caring and they wanted to make sure we have a pleasant experience. Jess was very responsive and was trying to find heaters for our first evening. One more thing to consider if you have younger children that the bedroom with the bung beds is downstairs in the basement next to the garage without bathroom nearby. Overall we had a pleasant experience and We would consider coming back again in the future if the minor issues we mentioned above get resolved.

Our family of 8 really enjoyed the woodland wonder cabin. The house was reasonably clean and as described by the listing. We couldn’t figure out how to ski in/ ski out but we were close enough to Navajo lodge that it didn’t really matter. The bedrooms were spacious and the air hockey table was great for the kids. The house was missing a few small necessities like a wine opener and a coffee machine that made more than 5 cups of coffee. It was also a little challenging to heat the house evenly as one of the upstairs bedrooms was very cold. There was a space heater in the house which saved the day. The glove and boot warmer in the mud room was also greatly appreciated. They did allow early check, thank you again.
