We absolutely loved staying at Black Pearl Inn. The ocean view was amazing and the room itself was like a resort. Henry is the epitome of the gracious host- a true Southern gentleman. The breakfast was a special bonus- everything from a traditional Nica breakfast to Henry’s special- American favorites. We didn’t know you could get bacon this good outside the US! Especially great is that it’s an all day breakfast- available anytime of day!😊 The staff helped with everything from beach recommendations to arranging our taxi to the Ometepe Island ferry. By the way, location is perfect- truly a five minute walk to the beach. Thank you so much!

Awesome place, close to everything. Short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shopping, and an awesome ocean and sunset view from the lanai. Henry, the owner, is a great guy, and also owns The Iguana Bar, a mere 500 steps away, which is right on the beach and where you go for your included breakfast. Overall, I would say a great place that I would definitely stay at again.

Black Pearl is run by a friendly Texan and his wife located a bit up a hill on the north side but still very close to everything. I stayed on the first floor and had magnificent view over the bay. The owner also runs a restaurant in front of the beach (two min walk) where multiple choices of breakfast are served a perfect way to start the day. I really enjoyed my stay there and it is highly recommended. In front of all the rooms there is a table and chairs and they also have a nice pool to relax.

Beautiful view of the bay with full sunset! Loved the very spacious terraces to watch the waves and the sunset. Property feels very safe, there is parking in the yard, you get a key to the gate to go in and out as you want. Two blocks from the beach (and far enough from the bar noise). Everything is very clean. Nice warm pool. Fast wifi - my speed tests showed 50 Mbps up and down. Very happy I picked this place for my stay.

This place was everything. It's now the place I got to in my head to relax. I think about the delicious food steps away. I think about the sparkling clean pool. I think about the extra hot water and the huge shower head. Oh and I think about the quality mattress and amazing pillows I enjoyed while gazing at the ocean through the open door. Literally felt like we were on top of the world. Private, safe and felt luxurious.

Great location just a minute walk to the hustle and bustle, but far enough away that it was very quiet. AC, hot water and wifi were all great, as was the pool. Great service- they worked with me to amend some details of my reservation, when they had no obligation to do so. Also amazing free breakfast options. So many choices and large portions. I will definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Black Pearl Inn. The owner, Henry, was very nice and accommodating. The hotel itself was located close to the beach (maybe a two minute walk) and the bar area. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is tucked off the main streets by 2 blocks so it felt more peaceful. The area was quiet and I slept very well. The staff were accommodating in all areas, especially important when my A/C didn't work in my first room. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable, plus you have a large outdoor space to sit and eat, watch the ocean, or work.

Henry and his staff are extremely welcoming, and went above and beyond to meet our needs of our stay. The entire property is very clean-from the entrance to the room/bathroom, to the pool. The breakfast was delicious and more than one would expect for a complimentary meal-with many choices and very filling. The view from our room was perfect! We also spent much time on the balcony visiting with our friends on the comfortable furniture. We slept very well, it was peaceful and quite. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming and peaceful stay while at San Juan del Sur!

Owner and staff very friendly. Entire property is extremely clean. Room was great and views from 2nd & 3rd balconies are amazing. Owner also has a restaurant and bar close by which is also very clean and food and service are very good. We definitely will stay here again.

We had a lovely big room that had good decor and an amazing view. The pool was amazing and super clean. The WiFi worked well throughout. Breakfast down at the beach was fine. The location was good, one block from the beach and near the town. There were a few issues with a new member of staff but the owner Henry was quick to respond and will I’m sure sort for future customers. The shower was a bit of an issue as ran very hot to cold to very hot. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

Very well located and convenient to walk to whole city. Safe and secure well lit, and the pool was amazing. Very clean room with very comfortable bed. The breakfast was divine and has me hooked! Large screen TV fast WiFi, cold air, hot shower and a good price. I WILL BE BACK!!!

150 meters from the beach and restaurants. Very clean, nice view. Nice, newer rooms for the price. Wonderful pool area to be with friends. Attentive staff. Good communication with the management (owner). Great place for a group of friends or larger family to feel like you have your own place in Nicaragua.

The location is good and the property is clean. The main issue i had was that the hotel was conpletely closed when i got there at 4pm...as in i had to figure out how to open the gate and let myself in and then yell for help as all the lights were out. Sleeping was and the rooms were clean. On checkout i was calling for someone to help when the hotel dog, bull terrier came and bit my thigh! I had to run to the car and honk the horn but no one was around....i checked myself out
