We loved Kaštel Novi and the hotel was wonderful, overall. Be advised, however, that this location is almost an hour on the public bus from Split, which I hadn’t realized when I made the reservation. It actually turned out to be a happy mistake, though, as Split is a much bigger city and quite hectic and crowded, and Kaštel Novi is very chill and absolutely gorgeous. The hotel was very clean, and our room was spacious. We had a problem with the shower drain backing up the night we arrived, but the staff fixed it right away. The a/c in the room is very weak and it was extremely hot while we were there, so good sleep was elusive. We were also given a room facing the church, which woke us up chiming the hour at 5:00 am every morning. The breakfast looked underwhelming, so we walked a few blocks down the street to a local pekarna (bakery) and bought fresh cheese burek for breakfast for a few euros instead.

A great hotel, i wish we were staying longer. A short walk to the water. I liked that had only 20 rooms, so it wasn't busy & chaotic. The next trip I'll stay here.

My wife and I are both in the resort industry in Key West and we were delighted by how well kept this historic treasure is. Rooms are very well kept and well appointed. If we ever visit Croatia again this would be towards the top of our list.
