The location of the hotel is exceptional on the banks of the Areuse, and a short walk away from the waterfalls. The Hotel has kept most of its old Swiss charm but has all modern amenities. There is no traffic, however the area is popular for biking and hiking.
This is the countryside, so there are flies and mosquitos.

The location is remote and beautiful. The breakfast was lovely.
The manager was clearly drunk. It took a lot of effort to get him to understand that we needed to pay the evening before our departure because we were leaving at 06:15 for an event. He was rather rude and consistently interrupted our attempts at French, apparently speaking no English or German.
We stayed in the studio apartment, which was quite tiny and quite expensive for four people.
