The location was excellent, right opposite the Turner Gallery. Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of choice but you could order a cooked breakfast for an extra charge. The bed and pillows were very comfy and fans were provided in the room. I liked the coffee making station and the toiletries were divine.

I personally would have preferred a walk-in shower, but we really had no complaints.

I can't wait to go back. This hotel is everything you could want in a seaside town. It's intimate, beautiful, full of character. More than anything, it has the nicest staff – it felt like staying with a lovely family. They saw me admiring a sunscreen that they let guests use, and when I couldn't find it at the store they sent me to buy it, they gave it to me! When I admired their hotel paper pads and said my four kids would love them, they went and brought out one for each kid! They were just nice, and friendly, and happy, and I want to go back just to be a part of the lovely Fort Road family for another weekend.
