It was in an area I wanted to be and only a short walk to all facilities. The cottage was homely and had a great garden.
Probably the stairs but then again I knew about them when I booked….hand rails would have been helpful, safety wise.
The lack of instructions for electrical equipment, e.g. tv, kitchen equipment, central heating.
The cobbled street, although very authentic, made life difficult for car journeys and parking particularly at the weekend, and also walking when the pavement was interrupted towards the bottom of the road.
It’s quite a steep rise but then again Belper is quite hilly. When one reaches the bottom meeting the main A6 road, then it’s flat , making it an easy walk into town and nearby old mill and river gardens .

Great location. Close to shops, restaurants, pubs and transport.
The steep staircase may be difficult for older travellers.

Very clean with everything needed included.
Beautiful garden and nice table for breakfast and coffee.
Never met the owner.
Because of my health and age downstairs toilet/bathroom.
