Nous rentrons tout juste d’un excellent séjour à Toubab Dialaw, et recommandons chaudement le « cabanon », dont le nom n’est qu’un clin d’œil à l’historique du site : en effet, le cabanon historique est devenu aujourd’hui un charmant lieu de villégiature, qui tient très bien son rang parmi les logements proposés à la location saisonnière au Sénégal. Nous sommes une famille de 6 et avons eu suffisamment de place pour y vivre tout à notre aise. Située au bord d’une plage de sable blanc, au sein d’un village animé connu pour sa vie artistique, la maison est très confortable et permet de vivre au calme, au milieu des plantes aromatiques, à quelques centaines de pas des lieux les plus animés. Surtout, l’accueil du propriétaire, Alexandre, et de la petite équipe au service de la maisonnée, sont exceptionnels de gentillesse et d’attentions discrètes. Vous aurez sûrement l’occasion de déguster les petits plats sénégalais de Diouma, une cuisinière de talent, qui à eux seuls vous donneront envie de revenir.
We are just back from a pleasant stay in Toubab Dialaw, and warmly recommend the « Cabanon », a comfortable cottage that stands out among the offer for houses to rent in Senegal. The 6 of us had enough space to live conveniently. The house is located above a beautiful beach of white sand, within a fairly large village, famous for its artistic life. It is a peaceful place, surrounded by aromatic herbs and various trees and flowers, definitely a good spot allowing one to stay quietly, a few hundred yards from the lively atmosphere of the village. Last but not least, the way you will be welcomed by Alexandre, the owner, and his small crew, is an exceptional blend of gentleness and discreet care. You will have a chance to taste Diouma’s specialities, she is a great cook as you will notice, this alone would be a good reason to test the Cabanon, and definitely a great one to return.
