We loved our stay at Agriturismo Paitin. It is a few km outside of Alba on a hill with beautiful views, surrounded by vineyards. The rooms are very homey, and the breakfast buffet was small but delicious. The owners were so welcoming, and despite some language hurdles, they were very helpful. We did not have a car, but it was quite easy to take a taxi/uber back and forth to the charming town. We ended up hiring a taxi to drive us to visit several wineries. A lovely getaway in the middle of Piedmont wine country.
Having a car would be a bit easier, and Paitin has free parking. We were there during the White Truffle Festival, which is fun and special, but everything in the region is a bit busier. If you want to visit wineries or rent a car, be sure to do it several weeks early.
