Extra nice service staff, even at 3 in the morning!!! Only thing I noticed was that the pillows smelled “old”. I think they need to be replaced. It makes one think the sheets aren’t clean.

This place was very clean. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel. Loved the pancake maker! The cheese omelette was yummy! The only thing was the pool could have been warmer. But other than that I would highly recommend this hotel!

It was in Vermilion, Ohio just minutes from the downtown area where the Wollybear festival was being held. The festival was the primary reason we booked a room at the Holiday Inn. It was very conveniently located right off the freeway exit. The check in staff gave us a map to the downtown Vermilion area and told us places to eat dinner in town and where to park for the festival. The hot breakfast was generous and we found our room to be very clean and welcoming.

Dark hair in the bathroom- I have red hair. Front desk girl is a bit crass at first… I spend most weeks away for work, and many hotels… this one has grey, flat painted walls, it’s dreary… breakfast is ok… standard.. overall it was ok

Here’s the deal. A fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. I get it. Things happen. But…absolutely no one explained anything to all the people gathered in the parking lot for 30 minutes. When we were allowed back in, no “sorry” or explanation. The front desk employee never even moved from her post while we all stood outside. When we finally got back to sleep it went off again. Luckily it was only about 10 seconds or so but another disturbance to my sleep wasn’t helpful. Additionally I was traveling with just my kids - no husband & when I checked in, my room number was stated aloud. I have worked in hotels and that’s a huge no no. Finally we chose Holiday Inn Express for their free breakfast but the pancake machine wasn’t working and a lot of items were gone. We were in the breakfast area at 8:15 am so it wasn’t at the end or anything. I’m not typically a complainer but man, we were disappointed with our stay.

Room was clean and quiet. The free breakfast in the morning was great. Only complaint is that there was no one to great us when we checked in and we had to wait around for five minutes or so. Not the end of the world but annoying when you’ve been driving for hours and just want to check in and go to sleep.

Very clean, comfortable rooms with ample towels, a good television, and lots of counter space for suitcases and bathroom items. Soap and Shampoo bottles are attached to the wall in the bathroom. Bring your own bar soap if this is what you prefer.

We are not handicapped. We were in a handicapped room all week. I had to make a makeshift table for my toiletries.

One shouldn’t need to check the sheets before sleeping in a bed. My daughter and I stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. She noticed in the morning after waking that there were short black hairs on the pillow case and bed sheets. Neither one of us have short black hair nor do we have pets. Obviously the hair was not from us. Went to the fitness room to run on the treadmill. There were no sweat towels, no paper towels and no cleaning supplies. The treadmill was very outdated and DIRTY! Also, since the fitness room is connected to the pool room, there was an overwhelming smell of chlorine and not ventilation making it impossible to breathe well enough to run. I am not picky and rarely leave a review. However, for the amount of money spent to stay two nights and would like to save other people from wasting their money.

The hotel was clearly new, and the facilities were clean, modern and comfortable. The staff was friendly and competent, and the complimentary breakfast was quite generous and tasty. The only complaint we had was that we were assigned to a room that connected to the room next door. Any sound proofing between the rooms was non-existent, and the guests next door were very loud. Made for a poor night's sleep.

Showed up at 11at night. Staff was friendly enough, but got to the room and head voices inside. Opened door and TV is on, bed is unmade, room is dark. Not sure if it was just left like that or someone was squatting. Went down to desk and got a new room on first floor with window facing parking lot. No curtains at all, just a sheer drape. Hope everyone had fun looking directly into my room with no privacy! Was exhausted so cut the lights and made the best of it. But come on! For $140 a night I do expect better. Parking lot was fine. Area seemed safe.
