Alemannenhof - Boutique Hotel am Titisee

The breakfast and location were excellent!

Room was a bit dated but comfortable. Could have used a fan during the day as it was hot but cooled down at night.

Good location. Nice room.

The waiter at the restaurant was not the nicest. The rest of the staff was great. Also…we were on the 3rd floor and didn’t realize that there were not elevators. It was a job to haul 3x 50 lb bags up the stairs.

The extremely friendly staff. The room, the view and the food were excellent!! We’ll come back for sure.

Breakfast was good and room was okay

There was confusion on how to get to the hotel from the nearest train station and what was offered by the hotel in terms of transport. We didn't drive to the hotel, which is about 20 minutes away on foot from the train station, and 5 minutes with bus, but there's only one bus per hour. It says on their website that they offer a free shuttle bus from the train station. Therefore, I messaged them and asked about a possible pick up and they said they could arrange a taxi for us. So I guessed it was not for free and we decided to walk. After we arrived at the hotel, we asked about the pickup and the front desk said they would cover for the cost of a taxi if we had ordered it. The next day at check-out we asked about the shuttle to go back to the train station and the person at the front desk said they don't offer a shuttle but could call a taxi for us. However, they would not cover the taxi fee, which we found very confusing. They offer free shuttles according to their website but in reality we have to walk or pay for our own taxi! At the end, the person at the front desk gave us bus tickets that allowed us to travel within the region for free during our stay but the guy on the first day didn't even mention that, which was frustrating. Another issue was the view from the studio apartment. We booked the large studio for the panorama terrace/balcony to the lake, but the view from the terrace was obstructed because there was another balcony next to us that blocked most of the view. Furthermore, I knew our studio would be located in another building, but it turned out to be 400 meter away and uphill which takes about 7 minutes to walk up.
