About this condo rental
Nestled in Vicenza, this lovely condo for $327 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. We have restored the old granary of the Foresteria of Villa Valmarana to the dwarfs, transforming it into a spacious attic with all the comforts. Our guests can use an apartment consisting of an open-space lounge with a suite of sofas, a large library full of titles and tourist guides, with a kitchen complete with everything you need to cook a meal at home. eat on the large dining table or on the charming counter that separates the real kitchen from the rest of the living room. The house has 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom where there are still decorative frescoes, a room with two beds that can be combined into a double and a room with three beds. Both rooms are characterized by rustic exposed beams of the attic. The main bathroom, also decorated with frescoes, has a bathtub, the secondary bathroom instead of a shower. Warm duvets and quality linens are available to guests for each room and the house is equipped with wi-fi, air conditioning, washing machine and dishwasher. We invite our guests to a charming and unique stay in our wonderful monumental complex frescoed by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo, always inhabited by our family. Over the years we are proud to have hosted in the same guesthouse where you will stay, such as Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Goffredo Parise and Carlo Scarpa. Included in the rent there is also the opportunity to visit the building and the guesthouse for free and admire the frescoes by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo. In the guesthouse there is also a bar where you can enjoy a coffee or an aperitif while relaxing on the terrace. The apartment is new and warm and overlooks the charming Valletta del Silenzio, just a few minutes from the center of Vicenza, on the slopes of the Berici Hills. If you want to visit the city of Palladio par excellence, or the beautiful surrounding art cities, take a tour of the Venetian Villas or simply a walk through the enchanting Berici Hills, Villa Valmarana is an excellent starting location, also facilitated by the guides present in our library. We recommend without a doubt the famous La Rotonda villa, located a few steps from the apartment or day trips to Padua Verona and Venice (but also Bassano del Grappa and Asiago) reachable very quickly by train from the station of Vicenza which is a few minutes drive from the villa. Very close to the villa is also the evocative Borgo Berga where a convenient supermarket has been opened a few years ago and a pizzeria. For any advice on suggested visits, restaurants in the area or on our rates do not hesitate to write to us.

We (a group of 3 couples) spent 10 days living at Al Nani 2.It was a return trip for me & my husband. Loved the large amount of space and the full kitchen for cooking. The location is perfect. It's about a one mile walk to the historic centre of Vicenza which is lovely. A unique setting, the apartment is located over the musum. Situated on the hillside, we were convenient to many historic sites via cobblestone pathways. Vicenza and Villa Valmarana have become my favorite Italian destinations. As an additional note, Fyodor and Elena were so helpful. Will return.

Its convenient location offers easy access to everything you could desire.
During our stay amidst a heat wave, the villa's cooling system proved to be a gem, saving us from the scorching temperatures.
The staff on the property was friendly and accommodating, and Google Translate came in handy for seamless communication.
Celia, the responsive and exceptional host, made our experience even more enjoyable.
With fond memories in our hearts, we eagerly look forward to returning next year for another delightful stay at Villa Valmarana.

This is a beautiful and unique property. The views are stunning. It is large and comfortable. 2 large , well equipped bathrooms. Kitchen is large and functional. Very nice cafe which has terrific coffee, lunch and views. The villa and museum are amazing and the location can't be beat.

The spacious and well-equipped and clean apartment is a joy to stay in. One feels at home immediately in a tasteful atmosphere, especially with an acompanying visit to the villa and the foresteria with its beautiful frescoes. The apartment is well equipped with all necessities, including airconditioning which is a necessity in the warmer months. The cafetteria below is nice to get a simple meal, or just coffe or a drink. Form the apartment, it’s a 15 minutes walk into the heart of beautiful and interesting Vicenza, and just 5 minutes to the Villa Rotonda. We will definitely return some day and definitely recommend the apartment for an enjoyable stay to visit Vicenza and surroundings. Our message contact to owner Cecilia was easy and quick. On site Fjodor was very helpful and kindly welcomed us after we arrived much later than we had expected.

Schönes Appartement in phantastischer Umgebung
Schöner kann man in Vicenza nicht wohnen. Appartement ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und liegt phantastisch (da es früher ein alter Speicher war, muss man zu Beginn die Holzwanzen etwas jagen). Tolle Terrasse (das kleine Café der Villa dei Nani lädt hier zum Verweilen ein) mit Blick in ein schönes Tal. Vicenza gut fußläufig erreichbar, ebenso ein großer Supermarkt. Wirklich ein toller Ort und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

The villa is spacious and has amazing views. The location is very convenient for anything to see around Vicenza, and getting to other parts of Northern Italy was easy as well. It is perfect for a restful Italian vacation!

This apartment is in a great location to see all that Vicenza has to offer especially La Rotonda! It has plenty of space and is very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here! The staff speaks little English but are very helpful. The cafe is a great spot for breakfast or lunch and is just right downstairs!!

Fantastic apartment. Spacious, well equipped, stylish and in an unbelievably beautiful location. Check in experience could be improved - very nice house keeper could not speak any English and the ins and outs of the house and what was and what not allowed were not obvious. We had to work it out from first principles.

Beautiful surroundings
It is a great shame that it was not made clear that there were a LOT of stairs up to the apartment and that apart from the formal gardens there was nowhere to sit outside and relax except for the cafe. Everbody was very pleasant and we had an enjoyable stay.

Real Italy
If you want to experience life in Italy, this is the place. You open your windows in the morning and take in the fresh air and see the beautiful countryside. You are outside of town a bit so the car is helpful but not necessary because cabs can be called. There is a biking and running trail very close as well.

If you love Italian culture and history. You will love this place. You are staying directly above and around priceless works of art. Very cozy with books and family pictures all around.
Our GPS was wrong and it took us a couple of tries to figure it out. Just go to the top of the hill and look for the famous dwarf statues.

Modern accommodations in a splendid historical setting
The apartment was everything we could have hoped for, and more. It is extremely comfortable, elegantly decorated and well-appointed. The atmosphere was relaxed, peaceful, culturally refined. The long salon was a beautiful place to come home to after a busy day of sightseeing in Vicenza and neighbouring towns in the Veneto.
The Villa with its guest house (the "Foresteria") has the feel of being in the country, but we soon discovered that we were only a ten-minute walk away from an excellent supermarket (Interspar). The train station is only twenty-four minutes away by foot and five minutes away by taxi. The historic centre of Vicenza can be reached after a pleasant half-hour walk. We arrived at the Villa on a Sunday evening after the supermarket had closed, but we found a great little osteria (Il Buganiere) near the bridge going into town, not far from the supermarket, and we enjoyed a very pleasant dinner of regional specialties.
The open kitchen in the flat made a simple meal or a group dinner for eight as easy as can be. The washer/dryer were easy to use and convenient. The views from the master bedroom and ensuite are unforgettable. The architectural details of the flat--the wood beams, the bedroom frescoes, the old-fashioned square windows--are wonderful. Our visit to the magnificent Tiepolo frescoes in the Villa itself (free for guests at the Foresteria) was a highlight of the entire trip!

Perfect stay in Palladian Vicenza
Ideal location for touring the treasures of Vicenza and the Veneto. The guest accommodation was over the top wonderful. One bedroom was clearly the "master" with frescos on the walls and ceiling, the other two bedrooms were very comfortable but nothing spectacular. The kitchen met all the needs of two gourmet cooks. Library was a bonus, with spectacular books on the region and the art. Nice dining and casual living areas. Secure parking was included in the costing -as was private tours of the villa and the guesthouse first floor rooms. As a family of artist and architects I would highly recommend this stay; it is immediately adjacent to Villa Rotunda and I walked over at sunrise, sunset, moonlight -and several times during the days. WONDERFUL!!!

Fantastic apartment in beautiful location
We have recently returned from our stay at Villa Valmarana and have to say that the experience was great. The apartment itself is very tastefully decorated, clean and everything you need is supplied. The large living area is ideal for large family groups and the bedrooms are also very spacious ( very comfortable beds ) . The apartment is situated within the grounds of Villa Valmarana which are stunning!
The owner of the apartment is very helpful and contactable and provided additional info relating to the surrounding area attractions. We had a problem with the air conditioning and the owner fixed the problem within 12 hrs!
I would definitely recommend this wonderful apartment and will return if we are visiting northern Italy in the future !!

Villa Valmarana i Nani is a rare find for a family desiring three bedrooms in Vicenza. The apartment, located in the foresteria, is spacious and comfortable. It, along with the villa itself, provided a wonderful setting for a family gathering which the owner helped arrange.

Die Lage, als auch die großzügige Wohnung und die Ausstattung sind wirklich wunderbar...
Eine echte Oase!
(Das Einzige was ein bisschen gestört hat waren die unzähligen Holzwanzen, die von der Holzdecke gefallen sind.
Eventuell lag das aber daran, dass man nach dem Winter wohl seit längerer Zeit wieder geheizt hat. ) Aber nach ein paar Tagen wurden sie etwas weniger... Und die Tierchen sind harmlos.
Insgesamt aber wirklich nur zu empfehlen.
Sehr nette Vermieter und die Wohnung ist wunderschön. Wohnraum, alle Zimmer und Bäder sehr geschmackvoll!

Dormire sopra gli affreschi del tiepolo un 'emozione! Ha il vantaggio di essere in campagna a dieci minuti a piedi dalla città e francamente la villa è bellissima. E l'appartamento comodo e charmoso.
