The best features of this hotel are the building history and location. A fifteenth-century estate on a Chianti hilltop, an infinity pool set against the vineyards, and gardens tended within an inch of their life. Couple this with a working cellar bottling the house's own Chianti’s and Super-Tuscans, you’ll be happy with what you’ve come for.
This property is great if you’re looking for nothing more than a stunning pool, tasty pasta, and a good glass of Italian wine. However, sadly, that’s where the positive review ends. The in room and property facilities, the skills of most service staff, the overall decor, and the food and beverage offering all need some TLC. If that happens, then you’ll have an experience that matches the location. Until then, I wouldn’t personally return.
