The gated parking is a definite plus, as is the location. Easy to find, we were met at the gate and were offered help to bring our bags to the first floor room. The heat wave was over so we didn't need to use the fan that was in the room. Shower had plenty of hot water and the lady who prepared the breakfast was an absolute star. We didn't use the TV, basic toiletries provided. It was only an overnight stop but we were happy to have found this place. If you don't expect high end luxury close to the centre of town (room was certainly not dirty but it was a bit tired - which is understandable as it's an old property) then extremely recommended.
Would have loved coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Only room for 2 cars, so definitely request a space when booking. But nothing that put us off.

This Bed and breakfast has 4 rooms in total (3 being at first floor) and accommodation is in a completely separate building from the host. The accommodation was somewhat dated but very clean and there were some attractive character features. It was very hot when we visited (mid August) and whilst decent portable room fans were provided, the bedrooms were still very warm. On site parking was provided as requested and this was easy to access and very secure. The hosts were friendly although only spoke French. The best aspect was a really excellent and generous continental breakfast (including a range of homemade jams) which was a credit to the host.
We booked 3 rooms some months prior, and one of these was a "suite with garden view" (this being at higher charge). This booked garden room was not offered to us on arrival and we were given an inferior upstairs room. The host did not mention anything until we queried this and we were then advised that this garden room was double booked and would not be offered to us. The host repaid the difference in room rates however it was very much up to us to raise this and we felt that given that we had booked this room several months prior, and with no email correspondence beforehand to say there was an issue, the allocation of the rooms and the explanation given was for the convenience of the host and not us.
