About this campground/ rv resort rental

Welcome to the Chickadee Treehouse! We're so glad you've come for a visit. We hope you enjoy your stay, and come back again.

The Space:
The chickadee is a bird almost universally considered “cute” thanks to its oversized round head, tiny body, and curiosity about everything, including humans. The chickadee’s black cap and bib; white cheeks; gray back, wings, and tail; and whitish underside with buffy sides are distinctive. It has a habit of investigating people and everything else in its home territory. The Black-capped Chickadee hides seeds and other food items to eat later. Each item is placed in a different spot and the chickadee can remember thousands of hiding places. Every autumn Black-capped Chickadees allow brain neurons containing old information to die, replacing them with new neurons so they can adapt to changes in their social flocks and environment even with their tiny brains.

This unit is a treehouse with king-size bed, WiFi, linens, and more. See full list of amenities.

The treehouse accommodates two guests. The chefs among you will appreciate the kitchen area supplied with utensils, cookware, hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig beverage maker.

Conveniently located to local area attractions, the treehouse is only 15 minutes from Homestead Heritage Craft Village, Magnolia Silos, and Baylor University.

Guest Access:
Guests will access the door with a four-digit code. Please check your text/email messages for your code.

The Neighborhood:
Waco Creekside Resort

Majestic oak trees provide a restful, sun dappled environment for your stay. Our rural location is peacefully removed from adjacent commercial clutter and noise, yet is only minutes from interstate access and shopping.

Getting Around:
Please see the park map for directions to your rental.

Other Things to Note:
The structural supports for the treehouses are intensely strong yet flexible. The flexibility allows slight movement of the cabin within the tree canopy if the canopy itself shifts sufficiently. You might feel a gentle rhythm from nature—but rest assured that the treehouse cabins, although elevated, are firmly anchored to the ground.

There is a fishing pond in the center of the property that is stocked with largemouth bass and sunfish. It is catch and release only right now. We also have a double pickle ball court on site.

Conveniently located to local area attractions, the cabin is only 15 minutes from Homestead Heritage Craft Village, Magnolia Silos, and Baylor University, to name a few.
We hope that your stay is uniquely relaxing and refreshing!

The chickadee treehouse was amazing! We stayed for 3 nights and wish we would have booked a longer trip. The treehouse is exactly how it is advertised. Such a cute and wonderful experience. It’s about 15 minutes from Waco and about 1hr & 30 minutes from Fort Worth stockyards. The treehouse is clean and well stocked. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.

This was just what I was looking for in a quiet little getaway.

Waco Creekside is close enough to Waco and the other attractions in the area but far enough out to enjoy the natural setting. While it is still clearly new with more amenities to come, the cabins and treehouses are very well done with a lot of attention paid to the details that make it a great home base for exploring. We stayed in a treehouse that was small but well executed. We would definitely go back for future trips to the area.

We will definitely be back when cooler weather arrives so we can enjoy the porch for longer periods of time. The treehouse was VERY clean, well decorated, fully stocked with all our needs to have a relaxing time. The time we sat outside it was so quiet & peaceful. The property management was very responsive. I highly recommend.
