Edith's House is an adorable and cozy cottage situated on a peaceful pond, just a block from downtown Mentone. Artsy furniture and design lend a funky flair to this space with plenty of room for two! A sweet little screened porch with daybed would be a perfect spot for a nap or to enjoy a good book in warm weather. The living room and eat-in kitchen have lots of room to cook a meal and relax and the bathroom is larger than most, complete with washer/dryer. Enjoy all that Mentone has to offer including hiking, golf, DeSoto State Park, Little River Canyon...take a bottle of wine and make the short walk to Brow Park for an amazing sunset, enjoy Farmers Market on Saturdays, grab a pizza at Mentone Market all within walking distance. This cute cottage was perfect for my husband and myself for a quick weekend getaway. The location was great and the cottage was very clean and well stocked. Loved the artsy decor. We would definitely stay here again!

This is the second time I have stayed at Edith’s house. The setting is perfect with the reflections on the pond, fall leaves and peaceful location. This is the ideal spot for either a quick weekend or a long stay to explore the area. I can’t recommend Edith’s house enough- look forward to a return visit soon!

Such a charming cottage! Conveniently located with all the amenities you could ask for. Very beautifully decorated and comfortable. It was a great little getaway with close proximity to the falls and trails. Walk to Wildflower Cafe and Elevation for your meals..you’ll be planning your next visit soon.

Loved this stay for our Birthday weekend. Edith’s House is a peaceful & lovely, well appointed little cottage. We enjoyed the porches and the cooler weather in Mentone even at mid August. We will stay again and can’t wait to get to relax again in this lovely place.

Loved it! The antiques; the books; the decor was welcoming and very comfortable. The outdoor area was beautiful and with thoughtful metal sculptures reflective of a creative artist. Modern conveniences, huge bathroom, great bed. Fabulous! Property manager was accomodating and helpful for my last minute needs.

My friend and I booked Edith’s House because we were for a business trip and we wanted to be near our work place. This quaint little bungalow exceeded our expectations with the attention to detail and the comfort. Everything from the beautiful painting to the quaint deck and pond made us feel as if we were on vacation. It is an all around beautiful spot which was only made better by the location and the wonderful and warm people we meet in town. We dined at Elevation and Wildflower Cafe. We didn’t have reservations at either but they made space for us and the food was outstanding! We also had amazing pizzas from Mentone Market and THE best shortbread cookies EVER! Try the Lemon Basil Shortbread! If you are staying in the area don’t miss out on this experience!

We loved staying at Edith’s House. Back deck perfect for drinking coffee in the morning or wine in the afternoon, watching the wildlife. Screen porch on front of cottage with a day bed, perfect for afternoon naps. Cottage had everything we needed and more! Just perfect!

The most adorable little cottage conveniently located in town. Everything was beautiful and clean and we enjoyed walking to eat at Wildflower cafe. The perfect weekend getaway.

The weather was chilly and wet, but the cottage was comfortable and warm -- very cozy. We enjoyed our stay! We also forgot and left a couple items in our room. Management promptly and courteously mailed them to us. Good people!

Great little place! We stayed over Thanksgiving and brought food and cooked a turkey! Oven is smaller than a standard size but not an issue at all. Very comfortable and cute little spot, close to walk over to Mentone Market or Brow Park. Great outdoor space in the front and back. It has some places around it but still felt private enough. Bathroom is big and the bed is comfortable. We had groceries delivered by Delightful Retreats concierge and it was awesome. Such a convenience to not have to worry about that! Highly recommend. The communication was great and super easy. Definitely will book either here or one of the other properties again!

Very clean and well-maintained cottage. Convenient location to the center of town and able to walk easily. Cottage had everything we needed and our stay was perfect.
