Dixieland Delight is a spacious cabin on 1 acre large enough for the whole family to enjoy yet cozy enough for 2! Our cabin is located less than 3 miles from all the shopping and restaurants in the quaint and utterly adorable town of Mentone, AL on beautiful Lookout Mountain. Whether you are looking for a long weekend of quiet seclusion or a place to rest your head between the many outdoor activities located within a short distance, Dixieland Delight is the perfect place for you! Travelling with a smaller group or multiple groups? Check out Dixieland Delight's little sister, Southern Star! Located within walking distance of each other you have a chance to book both cabins, if available, and have easy access to your entire group with plenty of space for everyone! Southern Star Vrbo: 3297562 Living Room: The floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace is the center piece for the comfy living room. The entire family can cozy up on the huge reclining leather sectional and warm up by the fire while playing board games or streaming your favorite shows on the large screen TV. Dixieland Delight does have fast WiFi for streaming or if you must, working! Kitchen and Dining: The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to make a delicious holiday meal! There is a Keurig with pods, a drip coffee maker and even a tea kettle and air frier! There is a dining table and 3 bar stools for additional seating for all of your family meals. Bedrooms and Bathrooms: Dixieland Delight has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Downstairs has a full-sized bed that has its own door leading out to the screened-in back porch. You can watch deer roam through the backyard from the comfort of your comfy bed. Also downstairs is a bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds, making this the perfect space for multiple families, large families, couples and small families alike. A full bathroom with a tub and shower combo is downstairs. Upstairs is the master suite with an extra-comfy queen-sized bed and huge a bathroom complete with double sinks, a large soaker tub and stand-alone shower. Outdoors: There is an open front porch with a swing to enjoy the sunrises and a screened-in back porch with tons of seating for the entire family to watch the multitude of deer and other wildlife that frequent the property. An electric grill is available for use as well as a fire pit area with a picnic table perfect for roasting hot dogs and making s’mores! There are 2 security cameras located outside of the cabin. 1 is located at the front door and one on the side of the house pointing out to the parking lot. These are only to monitor cleaning and maintenance contractors. Dixieland Delight has all you need for a picturesque vacation on top of Lookout Mountain. Memories are waiting to be made at Dixieland Delight!

This was our first time in Mentone and it did not disappoint! Dixieland Delight was perfect for our family…everyone had a space to make their own and it was simply peaceful out there. We can’t wait to come back!!

My husband and I spent two nights at Dixieland Delight. Two of my sisters and their families met us there and we celebrated one sister’s retirement. The cabin was a perfect place for us to see each other again and feel like we were all at home together in such a beautiful setting. When we walked in the door we were greeted with the sight of a beautiful Christmas tree. We were not expecting this and it was such a nice and welcome sight. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful experience at Dixieland Delight. It was close enough to town to run out for dinner easily, but far out enough to enjoy peace and quiet. We saw deer and other wildlife every day of our stay. The cabin was very comfortable, with all of the little details remembered. We only had one small issue, and Kathleen instantly responded. We would highly recommend this property!

This weekend was my mother's 1st birthday since she passed away a little over 4 months ago and I just needed to get away. This rental was perfect! At 1st I thought I'd be disappointed that only 1 of the bedrooms had a tv but I wasn't at all. It helped us spend more time together as a family. We had no problems at all - I just had a couple questions and the owner responded immediately. If i could give communication a 10 star rating I would! I tried to think of what they could to do to improve but couldn't come up with anything. This was perfect for my family and I hope to stay there again.

The cabin was easy to find just off the main road, but it also seemed relatively private. It was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utensils, pots & pans, etc., and the hot water heater provided wonderfully hot water for showers. The location allowed for easy navigation DeSoto State Park and downtown Mentone in minutes. Probably the best thing, especially for the 5-and 3-year-old girls with us, was being able to see the deer that came to graze in the yard, just feet from the porches. Cathleen was a wonderful host who responded quickly to questions. Overall, it was an excellent trip, and we all hated to come back to the real world. Would definitely highly recommend this cabin for a peaceful vacation.

We only visited this beautiful cabin for one night but it was so worth the drive! It was so clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient! We got us a pizza, sat on the screened in porch and watched the deer! Definitely plan on visiting again when we can stay longer! Highly recommend!

The owner was pleasant, quick, and professional. The house was beautiful, clean, and as described. Location was extraordinary and mere miles from Mentone, and in the opposite direction, Desoto State Park. The house had numerous items to inform one of the different stores, adventures, etc. The owner, once again, was helpful and kind.

We enjoyed our time away at this cabin. The owner was quick to answer all my questions. We enjoyed a hike to Laurel Falls, loved the fire pit, and enjoyed watching deer in the back yard.

My husband and I and 7 grandchildren stayed 1 night. There was plenty of beds for us all. The cabin is beautiful! I wish we had been able to stay longer. The only thing I would change- I would add a King size bed. Lol

This property was perfect for us! We had a wonderful trip and truly enjoyed our stay at Dixieland Delight!! Cathleen was very helpful and always quick to respond. This place had everything we needed and more! Very cozy and comfortable! The fire pit and fireplace were perfect ways to relax and unwind after a day of hiking. Close to great hiking and beautiful scenery! Would definitely love to go back!!

I met my sisters at Dixieland Delight for long needed get-together. It was perfect! The kitchen was fully equipped, the livingroom was so cozy, there were even huge, warm throws we used to sit and watch movies together. This was by far the nicest cabin we’ve rented so far. Thanks Cathleen, you were great!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The cabin is centered and surrounded by so much to do from 10 miles down the road at the desoto falls or state park to the next town over. Not far (an hour) from lookout mountain Georgia or Tennessee. About 30 minutes from Walmart. The cabin was pack with everything we needed to cook, clean to bathing. The beds were comfortable. We just absolutely loved it here, I could go on and on. We can’t wait to come back here next year to make this our “home away from home” again!
