Staying here was an absolute dream and truly felt like stepping back in time to my grandmother’s house in the Romanian countryside. Every little detail reminded me of everything I love about Romania.
The home is filled with authentic touches everywhere you look—from the traditional folklore motifs to the hand-sewn blankets and wall hangings just like my grandpa used to make, and those exact same woven textiles styled on the beds. Even the traditional decorative towels had that unmistakable look of the aprons worn with traditional folklore costumes.
Outside, you are completely surrounded by nature and lush fruit trees, complete with a traditional well in the yard. It felt so nostalgic, warm, and deeply comforting. I honestly loved every single thing about it. If you want an authentic, soul-warming escape that feels like pure home, this is the place.
Because the location is wonderfully remote and peaceful, my main tip for future guests is to come prepared or for the property to stock a few basic necessities. Since it's quite far from any real grocery store, having things like charcoal for the grill, cooking oil, sugar, condiments and other daily essentials on hand would be very helpful, especially given the price.
That said, the hosts were exceptionally kind people and went above and beyond. They even brought us free cheese and milk, which was such a thoughtful and wonderful touch! If you want an authentic, soul-warming escape that feels like pure home, this is the place.
