About this house rental
A spacious 6 bedroom detached period family house with outdoor swimming pool, games room, cinema screen and impressive eat in kitchen and dining area, offering ample space to entertain both indoors and outdoors. The house can sleep up to 15 guests over 4,800 sq.ft and is the ideal spot for a extended family getaway or to relax with friends in the countryside. The house has the convenience of the village and its amenities and overlooks the countryside with beautiful walks and bike rides on your doorstep.
Our house is in the heart of a popular village in Hampshire set within 1.5 acres of beautiful mature gardens, there is a private gated driveway with space for 6 cars and a wonderful outdoor swimming pool with electric cover. The pool house overlooks the surrounding patio with a large dining table and there are a number of sun loungers and sofas around the pool area as-well as a badminton net with racquets set up on the adjoining lawn area. To the rear of the house is a large patio and dining area with BBQ, a lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the garden and an outdoor dining table beneath a pergola. In addition to the large rear lawn there is a separate orchard and tree covered walkway, as well as two further garden areas so lots of delightful areas to discover. For the kids there is a large wooden climbing frame with swings, monkey bars and slides as-well as a large sunken trampoline. There is a croquet set for the main lawn as well as football goals and cricket net.
The house is set up for entertaining with a large open plan kitchen inc a table that seats 12 comfortably as-well as a breakfast bar seating 6. There is also a dining room table that seats 10 people so multiple entertaining options. A SONOS Play sound system is in the kitchen.
There is a games room complete with two sofas, Sky TV and a cinema screen with 4K projector, surround sound system, PS3 gaming console. The house has SKY Q throughout as well as access to Disney+ on all 3 TVs.
The house can sleep up to 12 guests across 6 bedrooms, plus a double pull out sofa-bed in the games room and a further single bed pull out. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom as well as a large dressing room. There are 3 additional bedrooms and a second bathroom in the main wing of the house. Up a separate staircase there are a further 2 double bedrooms and shower room in the guest wing. The house also has 2 downstairs WC and a utility room with a washer machine, tumble dryer and clothing rack.

The house and garden are beautiful and spacious. This is a family home so full of their possessions. We loved our stay and there were many positives:When the pool heating worked it was lovelyThere were many outdoor games provided, eg; pickle ball, croquet, trampoline, jungle gymThe beds were comfyThe house absorbed our party of 13 people over 3 generations very wellBut there were many irritants:The pool turned off without warningNo tumble dryer3 door handles malfunctionedHot water system on a timer - not enough for 13 of usOutside furniture dirty, we had to clean tables and sun loungersGas cylinder leaked - no spare, we had to replaceOnly superficially clean

So well appointed with toys, games and great outdoor space - swimming, football, fire pit and seating with BBQ. We had a great time and would certainly recommend. We would love to return one day. Giles and family were generous in sharing their home. Thank you!
