The lodge is down one of the backstreets near Wilpattu Jungle Resort, which means you're in the middle of nature. You can go to a lake nearby and ask the owner to arrange a boat safari to see the birds on the lake.
The way to get to the lodge is unpaved and sometimes difficult to navigate, so you can't easily do day trips other than the Wilpattu Safari from this location

El alojamiento es muy tranquilo y está muy bien ubicado, cerca de la entrada del Parque Nacional de Wilpattu. Hay un par de restaurantes cerca para poder cenar.
No nos dieron el desayuno porque como ocasión puntual tenían una especie de festivo y nos dijeron que no iban a estar para poder servirlo.

Man muss sich der Lage bewusst sein , es gibt nichts außer Natur! Das hat sehr viel Charme, die Häuschen sind einfach aber sauber und der Service für Essen ist toll. Sehr lecker, kostet natürlich extra. Wir haben eine Ganztages-Safari gebucht über die Unterkunft, das lief total zuverlässig ab. Wir wurden mit Frühstück und Lunch unterwegs versorgt. Die Gastgeberin vor Ort ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Es hat uns alles gut gefallen, man muss aber vorbereitet sein, dass man nichts besorgen kann.

Goed bed met prima klamboe
De weg ernaartoe is bijna niet te rijden voor gewone auto’s. Geen restaurants in de buurt, maar er wordt wel lekker gekookt. Alleen koud water.
