Our room on the second floor at the end of the corridor was lovely. Private and quiet.
The breakfast and kitchen staff were good.
Our arrival was a little chaotic. The woman didn’t “believe our booking” and later decided to interrupt our check in process with a call for another booking. It had been a long ride in and we just wanted to get to our room to rest.

Good place with nice appartment for a family (2 rooms + a kitchen and a living room). Very clean
Unfortunately no stove in the kitchen so not possible to cook.
Only 2 bicycles available at the hotel so not enough for our family and not possible to rent some on the island

Considering Mannar's non-tourist offer for foreign guests, we were forced to choose this local hotel.
I booked two two-room apartments through booking and the owner offered an additional free room for our local guide and driver. When we arrived at the hotel, the owner's wife welcomed us and only had one apartment available... After a conversation, she did her best and got us two apartments...
Possibility to choose a continental breakfast. The breakfast was delicious.
What saddened me the most was that the bed linen was not clean (from previous guests). This is unacceptable, even if we only stayed one night. In both apartments, the bedding was used from previous guests...
The beds are uncomfortable and too short. I'm 174 cm and I couldn't stretch my legs.

The hotel has potential and when they improve the cleanliness (especially the bedding) and the attitude towards foreign guests, the hotel will earn a higher rating from me.
It is a good price for staying, but I would never stay in this hotel again.
