Schöne Herberge, sehr nett dekoriert. Gute Betten.

When we arrived, our host greeted us polite but not more. No smile, no small talk. Tea yes but he seemed to be pressed for time. What's his name btw? Passports, money and off.  Our host always reacted immediately on our whishes. That was good. But I felt nothing coming from the heart. It's the personal touch that makes the difference and there hasn't been something like that. And this in Uzbekistan where I have experienced the most friendly people ever. Our daughter had a health problem in the first night and threw up. Our host seemed to be interested in a blanket he had for the beds that was dirty because my daughter was unable to make it to the bathroom at first. We had washed it in the washing machine and tidyed all up. But the host was angry and told us "if she wants to pull out", she should do this in the bathroom. Yes, she would have done this, if she had been able to!! And not wash the blanket because it was handmade. Ok, I didn't know this. I am sorry for this. We asked him for camomile tea. He brought tea - whatever sort - with so much sugar in that our daughter threw up again. Even one of our guides who only showed us around Bukhara asked how to help, if she had medicine...anything. But not our host. We coped well and found a pharmacy by ourselves.

This was a very large comfortable one bedroom apartment in the center of the city, just a few minutes walk from the main tourist area. There was a shady walled courtyard where breakfast was served -- basically another room. The host was very friendly and polite and met us with the keys after midnight when our train got in. With a king bed in the bedroom and three singles, this would comfortably sleep five. The "extreme rug" decoration, with rugs on rugs on every surface (ceiling!) was delightful. Breakfast was delicious. Lots of hot water, and good air conditioning and wifi. Fabulous place.

Nothing. No complaints.
