Property is incredibly pretty and the hosts had left a whole bunch of stuff for us to use, such as firewood for use, some cookies and the basic amenties such as salt, sugar etc. The property itself is very beautiful and the gates close to allow you to have your own personal space which meant I could let the dog off the lead inside the property. The place also backs up into a sheep farm so we woke up to the merry sounds of sheeps chatting with each other.
The gardens get plenty of sunlight and we had quite a few meals out in the sun.
There were 3 issues we had with the property.
1 - The shower water pressure was woefully poor. I would normally not mention something like this but the pressure was bad enough that I felt like I was showering with a garden pipe on ocassions.
2 - The skylight in the 2nd bedroom would not shut completely(and infact the elastic would pull it more open by cms as the night went on), which meant that by 5am the room was bright with sunlight, and almost impossible to sleep through. This meant that we had really poor sleep quality while staying there.
3 - The host had kept 3 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for staying 7 days at the property. I am not sure why this happens, but having to do a toilet paper run on a holiday is an irritating experience.
