Kurulu Bay

It’s absolutely gorgeous. A tranquil escape and quite close to ahangama! It was absolutely beautiful and the food is outstanding. We were on our honeymoon and we got kindly upgraded to the most incredible room. We cannot wait to return to Kurulu! The grounds are absolutely stunning and we wish we stayed longer.

There are some ants in the bathroom but it’s a tropical country so this is hard to avoid

What a wonderful way to start our holiday in Sri Lanka! The Kurulu Bay staff arranged a transfer from the airport, which worked out seamlessly. The driver, Indunil, pointed out points of interest along the way (rice plantations, birds, even stopped alongside a cinnamon tree and collected the leaves for us to smell), and shared lots of interesting cultural facts. Arriving at the place, we were warmly welcomed by Beatriz and Petar, and quickly became mesmerized by the beauty of its surroundings. What a magical place, where man-made structures coexist with nature in an almost symbiotic way. The room was perfect! Impecably clean, with the most amazing view. The food at the restaurant is also incredible, and so is the staff (we had dinner and breakfast). I lack the adjectives to describe the wonderful time I spent at Kurulu Bay. The only thing I regret is not having spent more time.

Lots Of Space, immersed in nature, with monkeys jumping around , the spa therapist is the best highlight of our stay she is absolutely fantastic, a yoga space with nice views on the bay great place to chill

Overall It’s a very nice spot But It could be even more curated / elevated the pool could be cleaner and there was a bit of mould in the shower, it could have been clearer in some other more hidden parts.

Good restaurant , stylish exterior design.

Poor interior, old furniture , very bad pillow and other bed stuff, not enough light in room, ants in room.
