This stylish, two-story getaway offers instant access to the lake boardwalk, and it’s an easy walk to the cabana-lined pools and cafe at South, the two-way dune crossover to the beach, and the newest community pool two minutes walk from the cottage! With the home located directly on the bridge, you’re surrounded by coastal lake waters teeming with fish and ducks, so you’ll really feel instant connection to the great outdoors! MAIN LIVING SPACE: Downstairs, the open-concept main living space combines comfortable family room seating with the dining area and fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy the wall-mounted, flat-screen smartTV and the panoramic view through the picture windows of the lake. Transoms let in more coastal light as you relax. A custom luxury sleeper sofa converts the space into a unique sleeping room for kids or guests. The dining table seats six for card games or a meal. And you can visit with the cook in the convenient kitchen, with built-in microwave, stainless steel appliances, and under-mount sink for easy cleanup. A gas grill is available for the families pit master to shine. SLEEPING QUARTERS: At the top of the stairs, a barn door opens into the tranquil king suite, dressed in turquoise and sail white. Accents in coral and driftwood complete this oasis. Two twin beds, with storage nook underneath, line up along a trio of windows—a great arrangement for families. And the whole room feels spacious thanks to soaring ceiling above and the expansive view to the lake. The large bathroom has dual vanities and a glass-front, walk-in shower, while the suite’s private balcony offers a table and chairs for an outdoor meal, morning coffee or sunset hour cocktails. GREAT FEATURES: Craftsmen-like details and cottage architecture elevate this beach home to a work of art. Enjoy bonus outdoor living space on the bridge pavilion and a place to cast a line into the lake. (Fishing gear is available in the rental office!) And in addition to the pool and crossover at South to the less crowded stretch of beach, you’ll have access to all three pools, a fitness center, kids’ pirate-themed playground, and on-site restaurants at Cinnamon Shore North, just about a mile down the beach! AMENITIES: At South, enjoy resort-style amenities such as the Cabana Pool with infinity edge; the new Splish Splash Family Pool with infinity edge and splash pad; Tailwind Park, Coastline Fire Lounge and other parks; serene lakes and ponds; a community pier; overlook pavilions and playscape. You also can access amenities at Cinnamon Shore North: pools, lakes, fitness center, on-site restaurants, and Town Center fun. *NO PETS ALLOWED* IF A PET IS SEEN ENTERING A NON-PET-FRIENDLY HOME, THE GUEST WILL BE CHARGED A PENALTY AND/OR EVICTED. Life is Good Today is a non-pet friendly property, if a pet is seen entering the home the homeowner and/or Cinnamon Shore Vacation Rentals has the right to immediately evict the renter with no refunds, regardless of the time of day or night. An automatic non-refundable penalty fee of $1000 will be added to the reservation, as well as any additional charges related to cleaning fees and/or damage in the home. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful and relaxing stay! This cottage overlooks a scenic pond full of visiting shorebirds and is minutes away from the nicest section of sand on Mustang Island. Our cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hosts made the extra effort to provide deluxe mattresses! We highly recommend this cottage and will stay here again on our next trip to Cinnamon Shore South!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect for our family of four (2 adults/2 kids-5/7) and just as described. The twin beds in the master are perfect for kids so you can still have the downstairs when they go to bed. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed, plenty of seating in the living room and the chairs on the porch were perfect to watch the kids fish. Golf cart service was super easy and was there when we arrived. Pool and beach were a quick gold ride away. The construction was not noisy early or late in the day and didn’t bother us at all. 5 stars and would definitely go back!

The unit is extremely well decorated and the furnishings are really comfortable, especially the chairs and the bed. One of the best equipped kitchens I've ever seen at a vacation rentals. we enjoyed cooking and dining with a water view, so if you think cooking is fun and relaxing this is great spot. The master bath is awesome. Just a good time in a great place. The Cinnamon Shores ameneties just make the experience that much better.

Reviewer Comments: Both me and my Fiancé work retail and the hustle and bustle has been none stop and only going to be more intense with the holidays coming up! That being said we always take a week in October to reboot. Cinnamon Shore was the perfect spot to do it! The service was great, the cottage was beautiful and the resort feel was phenomenal! The pizzeria had really good food and margaritas! The Cafe by the pool also had good food. We rented a golf cart (super easy they dropped it off to us early) and we were able to ride into town as well as up and down the coast on the beach. The pools were pristine and the scenery was breath taking! We had some really nice pics of the sunsetting. We are definitely coming back!!!

You feel like you are floating on water when lounging on the twin beds upstairs or sitting on the couch downstairs. The kids fed the fish and ducks from the patio, and we ate a steak dinner upstairs on the balcony in the evening as the sun set and it was so gorgeous. This is our new favorite cottage at Cinnamon Shore! I thought the construction at South would be a deterrent, but all the construction in this area is done and all other is so far you can’t hear it. The discount because of it was just a bonus. The walkway along the lake went straight to the giant pool and was so convenient and scenic. My family of 4 will be back soon to Life is Good Today, guaranteed!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience at the “Life is Good Today” cottage was awesome. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but the only drawback that we were not allowed to check-in at 4:00. Our property wasn’t ready until well after 6pm, so waiting those two hours with eager kids was rough, but other than that one negative, the rest of our time in this cottage was great. It was clean and gorgeous!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay overall was good! Upon arrival the house was very cold- 54 degrees and the heat was not on, so we had to wait for about 2 hours for the house to heat up. Also, the TV Wi-Fi had to be worked on by 2 maintenance guys which took up quite a lot of time. We arrived at 3pm and was told our house was being checked on and it would be ready soon. I arrived back at 4pm (check-in time) and it still was not ready until 4:30pm due to inspections. I would have hoped the heat and Wi-Fi was something that should be included in an inspection, but that was not the case. It was a lovely, very clean, pretty house, but the check in experience was not the best. I highly recommend the property for smaller size families.
