About this house rental
Nestled in Purgatory, this charming house for $214 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. *** Book Today for Only $300 Down at the Time of Booking *** Remodeled in 2020 with all new furnishings in 2022, our 1,300 sq. ft., 2 story end-unit Silverpick townhome, features two bedrooms and two and 1/2 baths. This great mountain escape has an open floorplan downstairs, with a large fully equipped kitchen (with crockpot and blender), wood burning fireplace and large private deck with amazing mountain views, and separate seating area under the trees. The townhome offers a washer/dryer, WI-FI, Smart TV's for streaming, cute coffee bar, deck with grill and seating, and office workspace with monitor, printer, keyboard and mouse. There is also a PlayStation 3 console and games for guests to enjoy. Given its proximity to Highway 550 and paved access, 4WD is not required in winter. There are 2 parking spaces at the condo. Guests are welcome to use the 2 cruiser bikes in the equipment storage section of the garage! The owners also added 3 portable wall-vented AC units - these are not window units, so you still have full use of all windows for cool mountain air and incredible views! There is one in each bedroom and one in the main living space. There is a shared hot tub, playground and hiking on property. You can also walk or bike the 0.3 mile dirt road from the condo to the Nugget Mountain Bar - they have a food truck and indoor/outdoor seating with firepits. In the summer, they also feature live music! In the summer, a bike ride to the ski resort would be easy, too. Bed Configuration: Upper Bedroom 1 - King Bed with TV and full bathroom Upper Bedroom 2 - King Bunk Bed with TV and full bathroom (Note: the bunk bed is really big - we do not recommend that young children sleep on the top bunk) Silverpick borders national forest and is about halfway between the historic towns of Durango and Silverton. This prime location is just one mile from Purgatory's entrance, and appx 25 minutes from downtown Durango, with scenic drives up to Silverton and Ouray. Enjoy both quiet privacy and the incomparable Needle’s Views from this home, while being close enough to the action of the resort community to enjoy all of the incredible winter and summer activities. There is a Ring spotlight camera over the front door - lights will turn on with motion. This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs and the pet fee is $20/day (for a max $120 per stay). Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities. Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance. This is a beautiful, clean and well stocked mountain home. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare meals including a fun coffee area. The 3 king beds (one bunk bed) was comfortable with nice pillows and blankets. The washer and dryer was available for guest use. We did not use the fireplace nor the hot tub but both appeared to be very nice. We felt safe staying here and the views of the mountains were great. This is a fun place to stay if you are visiting Durango but you don’t want to stay in town. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was very comfortable and super clean. The kitchen was well stocked including basic spices, storage containers, cleaning supplies and everything you would need to make meals, plus a nice dishwasher. I enjoyed using the large copper kitchen sink. The beds were comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. The three bathrooms were spacious and well stocked including nice towels. We did not use the fireplace or the hot tub but both appeared to be very nice. This is a great location between Durango and Silverton. There are some small lakes nearby as well as a convenience store and gas station. The large TV’s were a nice touch as well as the coffee station. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Perfect location for a short family getaway; appointed with all the right amenities and space for a visit to the mountains. Loved the corner unit and made it easy to park our truck with UTV. From the ease of access to the communication with the property this was a wonderful place!

The condo was perfect for our group. It looks even better than the pictures. It had everything we needed. The bunk bedroom is huge! Our family would definitely recommend and would stay here again. We came in the summer but would be an amazing location for winter and skiing. We walked to the Nugget twice for lunch. My kids loved the trails for hiking right behind the complex. We sat out on the patio every evening. Highly recommend!

We go 4 Wheeling every summer and this year we needed to take our dogs with us, so we came across this gem. We normally stay at a different place up the road from the silverpick but they do not allow pets. Their loss our gain as this place is much newer and very well equipped. Plenty of room and close to everything we do. The price was very comparable and the townhouse was very spacious unlike other places we have stayed. We will book again in the future. The management company was very easy to work with and very good about keeping in touch with us, very nice to have good channel of communication.

Our stay at Silverpik was outstanding. The condo across from the lodge was perfect for the wedding festivities of my daughter's college roommate. We were close by but could escape to our beautiful and quiet accommodations. I have one suggestion. The morning sunrise was spoiled by the dirt and grime on the sliding doors to the deck. I would have cleaned them myself but we were too busy with wedding jobs. Otherwise everything was perfect.

From start to finish the experience was wonderful. 5 stars in every category.This is our 2nd stay on this property because of the proximity and ease to Purgatory. Property inside and out is well maintained....including daily snow clearing methods AND they even cleared off the front porch and back patio of the snow each day. Amenities: had everything we needed. Nice touch was the availability of a computer and printer, a book about Durango, and the detailed, easy to understand property instructions (some rental properties are not as thorough.) Owner and manager were prompted with any questions we had. We definitely recommend this location to those wishing a close location to Purgatory, beautiful scenery, pet friendly, many amenities, and a clean well maintained property. Restaurant locations are few but can be found and accessed easily. Durango and Silverton are pretty much equal distances from each other in this location. The drive to Silverton is worth is a lovely drive. See you next ski season 2024.

I'm a very light sleeper and the heaters make a bit of noise so we had to turn the thermostats down at night -- otherwise this was a perfect stay.
