I would say it is 98% reliable. Works great for Roku TVs, zoom meetings and everything we’ve tried it for so far. I also, have T-mobile cell phone service and get 5g full signal with no problem throughout the home. I am told Verizon works well also. There is also WIFI calling available via internet, if your phone is capable. The main-level fan remotes are labeled North(Kitchen side) and South(front entry side). TVs will ask you for Guest login, set date of your departure and it will log you out. The home is on a spring-fed water supply, there is filtered water on the refrigerator door and a brita filter inside the refrigerator. We drink and enjoy the water, it has been tested and it has a clean and pure taste, also makes amazing coffee. That being said, if you have any concerns, please bring your own bottled water for drinking. The home is on a private road. GPS should take you right to the home's driveway. The road is paved near the bottom and becomes gravel/dirt as it winds up the mountain. Please travel at a safe speed and be prepared if an oncoming vehicle is encountered. There are water breaks across the road, which also act as reminders for maintaining a safe speed. Drive carefully, like you are in your own neighborhood. If it snows, it can get a little tricky. Use your own judgment if you think you need a 4wd/awd. We have driven numerous 2wd(front wheel drive) sedans up and down in all seasons without difficulty, but something with clearance like a Corvette would likely encounter difficulty at the water breaks. Motorcycles are certainly welcome, just be prepared for a gravel/dirt road. I could ride a full dressed touring bike up the road(carefully), just know it might be dusty and/or slick certain times of the year. A dual sport bike is certainly at home on this type of road. Several of the homes lights are on timers, but the wall switches will override on or off at any time. These are set to light the home in the evening for coming and going. If you prefer them to be off the timer, let me know and I will disable them. There could be bears on the property. I haven’t seen one while I have been there, but it is very possible as we are in the heart of bear country. Do not leave food or food garbage outside unless bagged and in the trash can.

My wife, daughter and mother in law enjoyed this fabulous house located very close to WCU. My daughter will be attending school there starting fall semester. Although I was unable to make the trip with them, they were amazed by the beauty of their surroundings and the home itself. My wife told me there was nothing not thought of with the house furnishings. The beds were comfortable and the host Beau was very responsive anytime we had questions or information. My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we would love to stay again when we visit Maggie at WCU.

We loved this cabin and all the thoughtful details Beau provided! Most rentals look good in online photos but this place exceeded our expectations. We enjoy cooking most of our meals and this was the best equipped kitchen I’ve encountered. The knives were sharp, pots and pans seemed new, a full spice drawer and condiments in the refrigerator (I brought my own but nice to have backup if you forgot something). My college age kids were all over the snacks and trying out unusual tea selections. The views are wonderful, the porch furniture is decorated with cute pillows and blankets, the interior is comfortable with nice artwork. The fire pit was nice. I will say if you want mountain top views, you have to be willing to take a deep breath to navigate the steep driveway. It’s totally doable but the more timid drivers in our family let others take the wheel. We were in town for graduation and I wish we had found this cabin earlier. Much better than any of the hotels in the area. Thank you Beau for being a great host and sharing your cabin!

We celebrated our anniversary with a trip to the Smokey Mountains and to see the beautiful colors of Fall. This 'Cozy Mountain Cottage' was the perfect place for us to stay. Beautiful views, comfortable bed, adequate space, plenty of amenities, so much can be said about it but "perfect" describes it for us! Thank you host for all you have poured into this cottage and listing.
