Duma Hostel

A very nice place to stay in Dumaguete in a quiet location away from the noise of the city. I had access to the kitchen area where I was offered free coffee and breakfast. If you need to catch a ferry or flight - the owner will drop you off for a small fee. The accomodation was clean and comfortable.

•Hospitable owner and (female) caretaker. They were really sweet and kind enough to adjust to our needs. •I pretty much got everything I need with their facilities. •Good thing their location is at a open spot. Nothing to block the cozy cold wind breezing through the fields. So I didn’t mind there wasn’t an a/c. •Clean, neat room (but not dust proof).

•There could have been a warning about how google wrongly pinned their location. The one in google is not correct. We walked from brgy. hall of motong all the way to the hostel. We came from a 6-hour bus ride so facing a lengthy walk considering all the heavy stuff we carried (luggages & a 10month old baby) was already unpleasant for us. •There was one (male) caretaker who didn’t mind yelling and cursing about how upset he is with how the owner managed to run her place. Although he was right with his reasons STILL he scared the hell out of me. •The entire building is still on the works so I got asthma attack all throughout my stay.
