The property was clean and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. It felt like we were living within a residential building which meant that even at the end of August, in the boiling heat the pool at time felt private! We loved exploring the local area, brilliant restaurants on the beach and the surf (which was a highlight for our kids).
We travelled as a family of four with an additional adult (auntie!) we hoped she would be able to stay with us and booked for 5 but the bed set up didn’t work for us as a family so she travelled home each night instead. The sofa bed folds out well and is comfy but my children are not used to sharing a bed and therefore we had to use the additional zed bed meaning we could only comfortably sleep four. Also with the kids going to sleep earlier it also means that the lounge area becomes redundant in the evening, which meant early nights (which we weren’t worried about) but some might be. So I’d say it’s perfect for a couple and does fit 4-5 people but with flexibility!
Before arriving I would also do some research into the local area - it feels like you are arriving into the middle of a large residential area but a very short walk to the right will take you to a beautiful restaurant on the beach front! To the left a 12 minute walk leads you to Carcavelos which is perfect for the kids! We also took a day trip to Cascais and Sintra - both were beautiful but Cascais was very busy and we were happy to escape back to our quiet accommodation!
There is also a busy road that runs right in front of the property, we very quickly became de-sensitised to this and seems normal for beachfront properties in this area! Didn’t bother us too much but might some!
