The cottage is just a 5-minute stroll to downtown Twain Harte where you can enjoy a wonderful meal, have a cold glass of beer or some wine, play miniature golf, and grab an ice cream cone. The Red Door Cottage has two bedrooms each with queen size beds, a leather couch that folds out into a queen bed and another sofa with a full size foldout, making for a very comfortable stay for 2-3 couples or a family with kids. The deck is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a warm cup of coffee, sip some wine, read a book, or dine al fresco all the while taking in the beautiful mountain views. The Cottage has a warm country house feel to it that makes it cozy and comfortable. You will feel relaxed the moment you walk in the red door. The county kitchen has an a retro stove, wooden counter tops, and everything needed to cook a delicious meal. The large living room area is spacious enough to comfortably seat all your family and friends. You can gather around the large dining room table and play some of the many games provided. There is a pellet stove to keep you warm during the winter months. A large screen Roku TV with Hulu, Disney, Amazon Video and Philo is available for your viewing pleasure. The Red Door Cottage is located 15 minutes from Sonora, a short 15-20 minute drive to Pinecrest Lake, and not far from Leland Meadows Snow Park, Dodge Ridge Ski Park, and Black Oak Casino which includes an arcade and bowling alley for the whole family to enjoy. It was a very cozy cabin and loved the area! We were able to celebrate my daughter 18 birthday and spend the day at the snow. Had great wifi, the kitchen had everything we needed. Unfortunately we weren’t able to use the back and balcony because of weather purposes but it looked lovely outside. Had AC the bathroom had towels shampoo and more. We will definitely book again. The only thing would be needing a new stove. But it was a perfect weekend:) 10/10

The cabin was perfect and so relaxing. Walking into town was close and very easy. Sitting on the deck for coffee and breakfast was awesome. The weather was perfect. Getting on and off of the highway was easy. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was well equipped with anything we could possibly want. If we have an opportunity to stay in the area again we will definitely reach out for reservations.

This beautiful cabin has everyting you need and more... It has a huge living room great for games gather to watch football... Close to golf course, town and restaurants... We walked everywhere... The wine and chocolate was a perfect welcoming... The communication with host was great ! Enjoy!

Cute and clean. I gave it 3 stars for location/neighborhood because, East Ave seems to be a major thoroughfare for traffic between 7:00 am and 9:00 am. Pretty quiet the rest of the day until about 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm. It gets loud at times with constant zooming of traffic noise. I think it might be a short cut to 108 North. It may be school traffic or just working class going to and from jobs. We stayed during the week. Weekends might be different.

I arrived earlier than the other guests and immediately felt at home when i walked into the darling and well equipped kitchen. The complimentary wine and chocolates were so nice! Many thanks to our hosts! I cannot wait for my next stay!

A great place, family had a wonderful time at the Red Door Cottage. Place was exactly expected, adorable cabin with all the simple things you need for a trip to the mountains. Host was very responsive to questions and we will very likely book again next year!

Lots of fun and creative features in this house! We made some special memories. Columbia State Historic Park as well as downtown Sonora, and snow on the pass were our favorites close by. In town, our favorite was the Chinese restaurant!

The location of this house is great! Very close to downtown Twain Harte and easy access to the highway to head up to Dodge Ridge for skiing. The house had everything we needed and a large living area to relax at night, play games, and watch movies. A peaceful setting and a lovely deck outside. The check-in process was easy and great communication with the owners. We really enjoyed our stay!

Reservation process was easy. Self check in was easy. Very cute place in Twain Harte. Excellent location. Lots of good instructions throughout from property owner. Warm and cozy pellet stove. Plenty of cookware and dishes to stay in. We hope to stay again to try out a different season.

This charming cabin offers the best of both worlds...rustic charm with updated conditioning including new(er) windows, deck, forced air htg/cooling, bathroom, etc. Comfortable furniture with charming decor and great kitchen outfitting. The new owners were great to deal and offer one of the best TH rental cabins we've experienced. We definitely will plan on returning in the future.
