About this cabin rental
Situated in Twain Harte, this charming cabin for $144 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Available all year. We have central air and heat to keep you comfortable no matter the season. This cabin allows you exclusive access to beautiful Twain Harte Lake (minimal entrance fee), just a few steps from the cabin (2 minute walk). This is a 'members only' lake open from Memorial Day through Labor Day that is the signature attraction of Twain Harte in the summer. Our cabin has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath upstairs and 1 large suite and 1 bath downstairs. One upstairs bedroom has a king sized bed and one set of twin bunks. The other bedroom has a queen sized bed and a queen sized sleeper sofa. Also upstairs is one bath w/shower, living room and fully stocked kitchen. Living room has two more queen sized sleeper sofas. Off the living room is the outdoor deck with views of the trees, birds and sometimes deer coming down from the hill behind the cabin. If you look carefully, you also have a filtered view of Twain Harte Lake through the trees. On the deck is a gas BBQ and two tables put together in an L-shape with 12 chairs to squeeze everyone around for dinner. Also on the deck is a 'little people' table that can seat 4-6 little persons. Downstairs room has separate entrance and has 1 king bed, one set of twin bunk beds and 1 queen sized sleeper sofa. Also downstairs is one bathroom with shower. Laundry room with washer and dryer is also located downstairs. There is no interior stair case. You have to go outside in order to go between the upstairs and the downstairs of the unit. Perfect set-up for the extended family, the teenagers will be happy downstairs in their own 'suite,' with HD smart TV, doing their own thing while the adults and rest of the family can be upstairs enjoying the outside deck and their own HD smart TV in the living room. If you have your own Netflix account, you can access it with the smart TV's. Linens are included. Bring your own bath and beach towels. The cabin has brand new central A/C and heat. Available all year so you can enjoy Twain Harte during all four of its beautiful seasons! During the summer months, the rental terms runs Saturday to Saturday. Dogs are allowed with owner's permission at $15/day per dog. Upon booking our cabin kindly provide your mailing address as an additional contact for the owner.

We had a great stay at the house! The location is very good, really just some steps from the lake, and it feels like being in a park. The heating is good, the beds are comfortable, clean, the bathrooms same. The kitchen works, a bit outdated, but ok. 18 people can indeed sleep there, but there are only 2 bathrooms, and we had to manage sitting down together inside. If you are a lot outside, hiking, skiing, it works great. The decks looked really good, but it was rainy and cold, so we could not use them. It is a wonderful house for vacation, we would rent it again,

It’s located in a nice area for all the seasons year round. There was enough space for everyone, the kids played card games watched movies and played outside. I’d recommend it!

We all loved walking to the lake and we even walked to the downtown. The kitchen had plenty of beautiful plates and plenty of silver ware. The beds were comfy.

The location of this cabin is awesome. That being said it is like stepping back into the 1970’s. The house it self was very dirty. The carpet, the walls, some of the dishes, and the oven were extremely dirty. There was a hole in the wall in one room, the curtains were inoperable on the rods and the sliding door lock was broken. The microwave was from 1970 and took 8 minutes to boil 4 cups of water. The stove and oven were old but worked adequately. The refrigerator was very small but it worked for us. With a deep cleaning, some paint and some appliance upgrades this could be a dynamite place. I messaged the owner about the condition of the house. He was pleasant but said it was because of the house being rented so often that the house was dirty. It has been quite a while since the house was deep cleaned. We have rented houses in Twain Harte before and are familiar with the area and the houses that are availble.

Want to say at the outset that the four out of five stars for cleanliness has to do with the state of some of the “clean“ dishes. Had to do some re-cleaning, which doesn’t necessarily reflect on the owner or the cleaning staff.
I’ve been coming to Twain Harte for five decades, and this was the first time I had air-conditioning. Made all the difference! My parents lived here for over 20 years, and had their “system“ of keeping their house cool on warm days. It worked most of the time, but usually fell apart with temperatures pushing triple digits. That’s what we had most of the days at this place. I can’t tell you how nice it was to walk off the lake, into a extremely comfortable cabin! Doesn’t hurt that it’s walking distance to the lake as well. Made it very enjoyable. We kept the capacity at around 10 or 11 the entire trip. To get to 18 would require a total of eight people sleeping on 4 separate available sofa beds. Keep that in mind, as that would only be comfortable for smaller occupants.
Kevin was very responsive, and cleaning staff was on top of things. Looking forward to coming back.

The deck was good…bbq was filthy and tools all left out on it and were dirty beyond cleaning. Umbrellas great. Inside the stocked cabinets were too stocked with dishes.the curtains by the slider were dirty and filthy. The curtains in first room were broken and didn’t move. The bathroom rugs were so dirty and old…come on…super gross. The couches were nice but underneath was disgusting…not picking them up or moving them, just right at your feet level. The 5 kitchen towels is unreal for 5 days…there were two crappy looking small lake chairs that also were filthy left on our deck as we walked in…they looked broken, but we didn’t touch them. The beds were comfy but my shorter Sister needed a chair to get into the bed…too high…overall, the location and the deck saved the day…the cleanliness was terrible and this is coming from having come to TH for many, many years….It was nice to see a couple appliances that looked newish but this cabin needs a pick me up or a better cleaning service and about 200 bucks in curtains and bathroom and doorway rugs…also the bbq on the deck looks like its going to start a fire on the house and the bbq itself is broken…this place was a disappointment as the door to the the only remodeled room stuck and wouldn’t unlock so we didn’t even use it…..the generator went on automatically when we lost power so that was a star!!!

We had an amazing stay. Being able to walk to the lake in 2 minutes was awesome. The house was wonderful and had lots of options of where to sleep. The kitchen is well stocked, furniture is comfy, and the deck is just amazing. Plenty of space for everyone to eat, relax, play games, and just visit. I'd rent this place again for sure!

We had such a great relaxing time at this property with a beautiful lake less then 1 minute walk around the corner , the town less then 5 minute drive and twain harte golf (9 hole ) about the same distance we had a Wonderfull time . The cabin was great with 3 large size bedrooms and incredible deck which we made
full use of and honestly where we spent the majority of our time . Black Oak casino is only 20 minutes away by car so we tried our luck a couple of times .. never disappointed Twain harte is a special place as is the cabin we just rented .. it’s not new but it has character and everything we needed for an amazing stay . Highly recommend this cabin to anyone as it is perfectly located very fairly priced and ideal for any family getaway can’t wait to return .

You get what you pay for here. The capacity is generous. Lots of beds and plenty of parking. This is the place for you if you don’t mind sharing space. The location is fantastic, walking distance to the lake, close to town, a ski resort, and a casino. The host was very responsive, answered all our questions quickly. A big storm came through during our stay which caused flooding. Kevin responded promptly and was caring and concerned. I recommend the queen bed mattress be replaced due to it sinking in the middle. It was quite uncomfortable for two people. Also bring your own dishwasher soap and trash bags!

Our group of 7 people had a great time over the Labor Day weekend. The house’s location is hard to beat, literally 2 minutes walk to the Twain Harte lake. The house itself had a nice outdoor space and everything we needed, including the AC which was a godsend over what was a 100+ temperature weekend. The property manager was super responsive and helpful both before the trip and during.

We loved being so close to the lake which allowed members of our party to walk back for lunch or naps for the littles - not so much fun trying to find parking and getting into a hot car. This cabin had the perfect set up and perfect location for our annual trip to Twain Harte. The younger adults enjoyed the detached bedroom downstairs. The open floor plan upstairs was awesome. The air conditioning was a much needed relief from the heat. The deck was a beautiful setting for a late evening drink and card games. WE would definetly love to stay here again.

I agree with so many others who've had positive experiences staying here. Given the warm summer weather (temps in the 90's all week), we really appreciated the central A/C. And we loved dining and generally hanging out on the spacious deck -- even when it was still sunny and warm in the late afternoon, there was lots of shade between the umbrellas and trees. Perfect for happy hour!
We spent most days at TW lake with other friends who were also staying in town but if it were not for them, we probably would have spent a full day or two at Pinecrest Lake to take a break from the crowds. Twain Hart Lake is sweet but small, and the beach area was packed though everyone was considerate and friendly (no blasting music!). And it's awesome for kids. Even our teen boys had a good time carousing, floating on our SUP boards, playing sand volleyball and drinking too many frozen lemonades from the Snack Shack.
Overall we had a wonderful 5 days and are already looking forward to returning.
