About this house rental
Simply elegant studio located at the Inn at High Falls, lovely restored perfect for a single traveler or couple! The studio is located on a ground floor of the barn which is perfect for people who cannot handle stairs very well. It is one of three self contained units on the property. There is a main house and carriage house. The carriage house contains the studio on the first floor and loft on the upper floor. The cozy space has a mini frig, microwave, and coffee maker. Also, the studio comes with access to the shared back yard.
Our home is served by a private artisan well drilled into the local bedrock. This area naturally contains sulfur in the rock, which means our water has a mild sulfur smell and taste. After periods of heavy rain, the water can temporarily pick up a bit more sulfur as it filters through the ground - this is completely normal for wells in this region.
The water is safe and is fine for showering. It is also safe for cooking and drinking but bottled spring water dispensers are provided in each unit. Most guests tell us they stop noticing it after the first day or two. And we have an extensive water system to treat water specifically that contain sulfur to minimize the effect.
We wanted to mention it up front so you know exactly what to expect!

A nice cosy abode, friendly and well situated.
Two pointers - in a lyme abundant area, cutting the grass short to keep ticks at bay is important.
Well water had sulfur smell, which took a while to get used to.

Perfect location. Easy access to great surrounding area. Nice space. We had only one night. Wish it was longer!

The location and layout cozy and warm. The odor of the water and bathroom like sulfer.Coffee seemed old pot did not work right.Could not get hot water for a shower either.
