Host was my favorite part. Direct and straightforward and a wealth of information. Interesting life story. The property is large with 3 kinds of double rooms. We had large double bed in our room on the left side of the hostel. A/C was great (included 8pm-8am, it costs $5 extra during the day due to the high power costs here). Overhead fan with light. Two chairs in the room to places backpacks on. Kitchen is fully stocked. Water is drinkable from the tap. Massive refrigerator cools beers ice cold. Lots of seating around. 3+ full bathrooms very clean. Shower has lukewarm water which is all you want in this heat. Breakfast was served 7:30-9am. The colectivo bus to Sona can pick you up from the road by the hostel.
Room could use a table or shelf to put backpacks and random items on. And a few hooks to hang towels.

Lovely basic private room with AC. Good pancake and fruit breakfast each morning and a clean communal kitchen. The owner was also helpful with how to organise onwards travel. Perfect for a short stay in Santa Catalina.
The only issue was that the toilets were frequently out of toilet paper and not replaced. Everything else was great.

Amazing vibe. The owner and volunteers are really friendly and welcoming. it feels like they are a family. We went all together to the island close by which was really fun. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is a spacious kitchen as well. Had a very fun and relaxing time there.

Location was good- a quick walk to dive/surf shops and the mini markets
They seemed to be building extra rooms upstairs which weren't reflective of the pictures provided of the property. While we were there, the bathroom door was literally falling off the hinges- you couldn't fully close it, let alone lock it. The room was a plain concrete box with absolutely no effort to make it a peasant place to stay. The staff were disorganized, garbages were often overflowing, and hang out spaces were limited.
