A great location for exploring North Wales although the Booking.com site advertised 'river views' when there is no river!
The accommodation is perfectly good albeit compact but absolutely fine for a holiday. The owner was very chatty and lovely.
There are a couple of pubs in the village but we recommend the Golden Fleece until the new owner injects some much needed love into The Union.
Nothing to dislike.

The property is in an excellent location for accessing all of North-West Wales. We visited Snowdon and Anglesey. We travelled on three of the famous steam railways. We visited several National Trust properties. And there is a fish and chip shop very close by.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.

The flat had all the facilities I needed with a well equipped, small kitchen, plenty of pans and crockery. Bed linen was really crisp and clean. Towels provided in the shower room which I was not expecting, plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, though I was on my own. An effort had been made colour co-ordinate wall paper and curtains etc.
Three piece suite not overly comfortable and rather big and bulky for the space. There were lots of cracks in the walls and ceilings which could do with filing and painting over. What appeared to be damp or mould was beginning to appear around the joints between ceiling and walls particularly in the lounge. Paint peeling badly off the lintel in the large bedroom. Smelt rather damp when you entered. I considered the concrete steps up to the flat to be dangerous. They were different depths, between quite shallow to really quite steep with no handrail other than hanging on to the top of the steps. View was disappointing. Set back off the road the windows overlooked what appeared to be a closed down garage with barbed wire and generally untidy.
