Very comfortable large flat over a shop on the main street. Quirky geometry with no attempt to make the ancient floors level or point the corners with right angles; you wouldn't get that sort of interesting layout in a modern house. The beds were very soft but comfortable, the shower is adequate, the kitchen is excellent and there was a large TV room. Great stop over. We were very happy there. We were in the middle of a heat wave and the property was well insulated.
It's right in the centre over the High Street so you might expect a few shouting drunken lads attempting to serenade the lamppost at two in the morning and they didn't disappoint. Noisy but harmless. The entrance is down an alleyway that's down an alleyway. Took us a while to find it, but I'm sure if we'd followed their instructions, we would've found the door quicker.

The location
The bannister was loose, the arm of the settee was broken. Much as I appreciate not wanting guests to wear shoes inside it’s a little pointless if the information is in the welcoming pack after you have climbed the stairs. Didn’t like the double bed being against the wall. Also aghast that we had an email after leaving asking for a ten and if we had any concerns to contact them directly so it didn’t impact on their rating.

I didn’t realise the Hideaway was run by my hairdresser, Jacqui!
A lovely period property in the centre of Blandford, lovingly presented with a real quirky and unique layout.
We were running buses to the local steam fair so me and a friend stayed in town as it was easier.
It was lovely to wake up to the church bells down the road.
The only thing we can comment about, which was an honest oversite and we did laugh was that there was no loo roll but we grabbed some from the shop. It did give us a good giggle.
