A fabulous place to stay in Ubud! The rooms were clean, light and well laid out, and the outdoor space so pretty and relaxing. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, the best nasi goreng of the trip. The location was peaceful but just a short walk into town and there are several warungs nearby. But what makes Danu House really stand out is the kindness of the hosts. My elderly Mum had an accident early in our stay and fractured her ankle and Mita and Kadek and their lovely family took the best care of us - staying with us at the hospital, bringing us meals, making up a room for Mum downstairs, driving us everywhere...I can't even describe the lengths they have gone to to help us enjoy the rest of our trip. If you are looking for a lovely place to stay in Ubud, where you can meet a wonderful Balinese family and see a slice of Balinese life, you can't go past Danu House. We will be forever grateful to Mita and Kadek and will definitely be visiting them again.

Wir wurden über alle Maßen herzlich empfangen. Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen einfach übertroffen. Ein wunderschönes Haus mit privatem Pool und so viel Platz für uns als Familie mit zwei Kindern. Es war überaus sauber und die Frühstücksauswahl und Zubereitung hervorragend. Für uns war es ein besonderes Highlight, dass sich das Haus auf dem Grundstück der Familie befindet. So erlebt man einfach auch viel näher die Kultur und das Leben vor Ort. Wir haben einen unglaublichen Service erfahren. Jeder Wunsch wurde uns von den Augen abgelesen. Sogar frische Kokosnuss zum Frühstück. Außerdem haben wir einen geführten Ausflug mit Kadek, Mitas Mann, unternommen. Er hat uns zu einem Tempel gebracht, bei dem wir ein Ritual mitmachen durften. Über die Familie konnten wir auch Karten für den wöchentlichen den Kecak-Tanz um die Ecke buchen. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber dennoch sehr zentral. Fußläufig sind Restaurants, der Ubud-Markt mit vielen Ständen, eine Drogerie, Banken und Supermärkte erreichbar. Wir danken Mita und ihrer Familie von Herzen für diese unvergessliche Zeit und hoffen, dass wir wiederkommen werden.

Wij kwamen met twee dochters van 6 en 1 jaar oud, dus de rust in het drukke Ubud en de hygiëne in het huis waren zeer welkom.
Mita en haar man Kadek waren erg vriendelijk en deden alles om het naar ons zin te maken. Het was heel bijzonder om bij hun en hun familie te verblijven. Alsof je deel uitmaakte van hun ‘familiedorpje’ en leuk dat je op deze manier in aanraking komt met de lokale bevolking.
Het huis was voor Balinese begrippen goed geïsoleerd en voor ons comfortabel, waardoor we goede nachtrusten hebben gehad. Onze dochters vonden het ook leuk om de vissen te voeren en buiten te spelen op het complex.
