An ideal place to base yourselves, whether you're seeking to relax in peaceful and beautiful surroundings or desire a fun-packed activity holiday, which could include exploring the vast and varied wild beauty of North West Sutherland's landscape; hill walking, sea and fresh water fishing, golf, ornithology, sailing, stalking, climbing or just lazing on secluded white sandy beaches.

Bedroom 1 Kingsize.
Nextdoor is a bathroom with bath and toilet.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds and luxury en-suite shower room. Room also has a desk.
Open plan lounge/kitchen with full height windows overlooking the Kyle. Cosy wood burning stove plus underfloor heating throughout, WiFi, television, DVD player and ipod/iphone dock. Fully equipped modern kitchen with integral oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. The cottage has private parking outside the cottage.
On the paved area outside there is a picnic table plus a a large umbrella.
Up to two dogs allowed in this cottage. @ £30.00 per dog.The paved garden is not fenced over the entrance.

Shore Cottage was clean, comfortable, very well equipped and had the most beautiful view from the main window out across the Kyle! Our stay was peaceful and relaxed and we enjoyed visits to Cape Wrath, Smoo Cave and Balnakeil to name but a few! The golf club at Balkaniel provided a lovely lunch! We can heartily recommend a stay at Shore Cottage.

Lovely accommodation and very comfortable for a holiday stay. Stunning views looking down the sea loch. Cottage is conveniently located for services in Durness and only a two minute walk to the passenger ferry over to Cape Wrath. Second visit to Shore Cottage and highly recommend.

This place is amazing ,the views the atmosphere .The people looking after the cottage Lynn and Bob couldnt be more helpful..they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect ..we came here to re charge after health issues and I couldnt imagine being anywhere else to re coup..this stay was our second visit and certainly won't be our last ...love everything about our stay ..the owner Gillie is such a lovely lady friendly ,helpful and grows the most yummy rhubarb to which I ate plenty the only niggle I had was not able to transfer my accounts to watch Netflix or Disney to the tv on a night ( im an insomniac) ...I will say that considering the area we where the wifi is the very best that we have had in Scotland..Sitting on the sofa or out on the bench just watching the tides the sands the water change ... the clouds the mountains change before your eyes is something everyone should experience at least once ... if you want to experience never ending beauty this place is it ... this place is our new happy place , a huge thank you from kath and I to Lynn bob and gillie for making our stay the very best
