Ekantha Ala

Location was great as it was right on the backwaters. Rooms were clean and decently sized.

Lots of mosquitos, in house kitchen wasn't functional and they ordered food from outside. AC was not working in one room. Property can be kept much more cleaner

My recent stay at Ekantha Ala was nothing short of exceptional! Though it was just a one-night stay, it felt like pure bliss. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the resort’s tranquil lakeside setting and stunning views. The resort offers a truly authentic Kerala experience — from the warm hospitality to the mouthwatering local cuisine. The food was outstanding, especially the Kerala-style fish curry meals with freshly caught Karimeen (Pearl Spot), a local delicacy. Be sure to order your meals in advance to savor the full range of flavors this place has to offer. A major highlight was the boating experience in traditional country boats, which took us through the calm waters of Vembanad Lake. The ride offered breathtaking views and a glimpse into village life across three districts — Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Alappuzha. Our visit to Magic Island was unforgettable: standing in knee-deep water in the middle of the lake while watching the mesmerizing hues of the sunset was truly magical. Do check tide levels with the boatman to plan this trip at the right time. Kids had a great time too, especially with the angling activity. Catching Karimeen fish was a fun and refreshing experience — a welcome break from screen time. Property location is really serene. Just like what is shown in this picture.Happy for that. Bt the two guys had given us an excellent servicw.

Proper Toileteries were not provided to us . We had a late check in.. Only an used shampoo was there. Nxt day when we asked we got a bottle of shampoo and body lotion instead of soap. Pls take note of that and keep all these before rhe guest arrives
