De ligging is perfect. Midden in het nachtleven en vlak bij het strand. Er is een gezellige sport bar met super aardig personeel.

While Splash offers good value for money, Room 102 isn't as comfortable as Room 202 where I stayed a few months earlier. Its plus point are the basics of good aircon, TV, good shower unit and toilet decor, good mattress and an in-room safe. There is convenient access to a rear entrance. Overall the room has potential, but needs a small amount of money spent to provide the necessary facilities. Staff are friendly and helpful. The proprietors have good knowledge of the local area.
The facilities in 102 are very limited. The only place to sit in this room is the bed. There is no table and chair where one could have a coffee. Thomas explained that he has discontinued supplying a kettle, cups, plates etc. due to breakages. He gave me a cup, and promised to try to get me a kettle, which however did not materialize. The little things matter and are a deal breaker for many guests. Bedside light did not work, which again Thomas promised to attend to, but did not. There is no towel rail in the bathroom. The wall outside the rear entrance is in poor condition and needs a coat of paint. Some guests will be concerned about noise from the music bar next door (which wasn't a big issue for me), and if so they should opt for a balcony room rather than 102 or 202, which are right above where live groups perform.
