Ticked all boxes for a quintessential New England Inn stay. Lovely breakfast, we enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying a glass of wine. The hot tub was a nice feature too as was playing scrabble on a high tech gaming board.
It was a little ‘tired’ & although our room was clean. Some more attention could have been given to the floors & especially around the skirting…..just a minor thing but noticeable as you walk up the stairs.

A warm welcome to a lovely old property with unique features. Not a standard personality free hotel. Fabulous breakfast, great sweet treats, beautiful garden.
Comfortable bed, fluffy towels. Nice hot tub. Good WiFi. Good location. Easy parking. Games room.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. A very nice breakfast is served each morning, accompanied by a picturesque view and soft, ambient music. The location is close to the center of town. The hosts have gone all out to provide a pleasant and enjoyable experience for their guests.
The structure is well-kept, spotlessly clean, and attractive but as with any older facility, there are some trade-offs to staying in a quaint and charming bed and breakfast rather than a large, bland hotel: thinner walls, squeaky floors, etc. The lack of a TV in the room is understandable considering the acoustics of the rooms and was a plus for us; we spend enough of our non-vacation time staring at screens, and it was nice to get away and just chill in a beautiful locale without that mind-numbing distraction.
