We really enjoyed our stay at Rosemount and would highly recommend it. The host, Sheila, was most welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed and had no problems reaching the property or getting to know the beautiful area around Sligo. The house is very clean, warm, very well looked after and with lovely interior. We appreciated the breakfast options too. Rosemount was one of the highlights of our trip and one of the best guesthouses we've visited so far. Thank you very much.
We were most pleased with everything. The only minor issue was the location which was somewhat away from the city centre, and as we had no car we had to rely on local buses for the most part (and the nearby bus stops are within 10 mins of walking or so). However, the host kindly assisted us by driving us to the guesthouse with our bags which was a most welcome and helpful surprise.

Sheila is the most wonderful and gracious of hosts! And her whole house oozes with her good energy. The room was very comfortable, the so-called "light breakfast" was still a plethora of great options to choose from (oats, cereals, freshly baked croissants, all the coffee and tea in the world). We slept perfectly deep sleeps, the bathrooms are in great shape, and the big garden and veranda are perfect for some morning reading with a steaming cup of tea. Sheila was so knowledgeable and generous, making this 2-day pitstop amid our Irish cycling trip an absolute joy — thanks a million!
It is a little far outside of Sligo's city centre, but there are buses and Sheila even offered to drive us into town one night! The upside to its location is that it is relatively close to Strandhill and its gorgeous beaches, so this is not even a criticism, really :)
