I have lived at Rickman Parade several times and chose this location for the peace. It's a lovely quiet location right on the surfside. return again and again just to be in that exact location. It was quiet, peaceful and a joy to be back at my old beach . The host Jill was a delight to deal with and has everything organised for me on arrival
Unfortunately, the mattresses (all three of them) were very old and extremely uncomfortable. The beds in the twin room are kids very unstuedy beds and one is broken and sags badly. The kitchen is minimally facilitated having one decent size coffee mug and several small ones. The shower needs a new washer and the longest are old and uncomfortable too. The lights int he combined kitchen and lounge are downlights and very bright a lap or two would be great.
They ask you to kt open the front door which is ridiculous. There is newspaper stuffed in a hole there and we knocked back in a major nail that would have taken your foot out. Not being anle to use the front door make sit a fire hazard. That's the other thing there are NO SMOKE ALARMS in either bedroom just one in the main living area and I think that makes it illegal. An old house like that will go up I three seconds.
It's sad that such inexpensive fixes are missed by the owner .. I guess when it's rented out constantly it's not of concern to them.

Perfect location, quiet except for sound of the ocean :). Cottage had all the basics needed for a holiday. Walking distance to great coffee shops. 5 mins drive to beautiful dog friendly beach, perfect for walking even if you don't have a dog.
Air fryer oven would be handy for a longer stay.

The location of this property is amazing. Listening to the waves all night is the best medicine. Being able to take your pet on vacation is awesome and the property is set up well for the beach - sand and dogs.
Not much to dislike except a deck out the front would be awesome

It was cosy and a great location
The plastic drinking cups. The beds in the second room were uncomfortable.
