Extremely helpful staff and a lovely hotel in a central location

A wonderful experience. This was our 3rd trip to Italy and first time to Catania. Having stayed at a dozen hotels in Italy on previous trips this was by far a superior experience. The rooms are open and large with unique stone archways from the historical construction. The rooms are modern and our room had a combo steam room/shower and separate whirlpool tub.
Aside from the room and perfect location - walkable to attractions and restaurants, what makes this experience different is the staff. Celso and the entire team truly go above and beyond to ensure you have a great trip. From making restaurant suggestions and reservations, to booking transfers, to assisting with agendas and activities - they even helped us get back from the beach/Lido when we were not able to connect to a Taxi service.

There are a number of reasons these suites are so highly rated. The manager Celso and his staff are incredibly welcoming, very well organised and go out of their way to ensure your stay is an enjoyable one. The unique, spacious rooms are finished to a very high standard with everything you will ever need. The jacuzzi is fantastic and a welcome treat after some long days exploring. The location is about 2 minutes walk from the main square, popular fish market and street food stalls. It is also very handy for the public bus terminus for other towns/airport. Breakfast selection was great and the whole building is spotless. In-room minibar is well stocked and reasonably priced. The welcome plate of cannolis were a fantastic touch and did not last long. We will definitely base ourselves at Bastiò suites on our return to Sicily.
