Good hotel. Very nice price. The owner was very kind and changed rooms when it was noisy. The chef was very good; I like him. He made rice for me at dinner when he knew I'm vegan at morning we went to the tour that was arranged through the host it was one of the best things i have done in my life thank you for everything

Exploring Wadi Rum and sleeping in the desert is truly a unique experience. The accommodation at Golden Camp is comfortable and allows you to immerse yourself fully in the desert environment. Mohammad is an entertaining host, but be aware that he is also quite the slick salesman.
Mohammad was keen to offer a 'room upgrade' at a discounted price upon our arrival. However, after declining this offer, we found that the rooms we initially booked were simply unavailable/without hot water.
Booking one or multiple activities in addition to the stay is effectively mandatory, or you will be charged 20 JOD per person (!) for transportation costs from the parking to the camp and back, plus 15 JOD for parking your car. Note that there is no real alternative to reach the Golden camp, and that these charges were not very clearly communicated in advance.
We booked a jeep tour with driver Slah, which was pleasant and covered most highlights around Wadi Rum in about 2.5-3 hours.
Dinner at the Golden Camp (15 JOD per person, with the only alternative being to bring your own food) and the included breakfast were decent.
Overall, we enjoyed the stay, but we strongly recommend arranging activities and researching costs before booking to avoid unexpected charges.

In the middle of desert with great views, good breakfast
We had to leave our car far away and were completely dependent on the stuff, no kettle and fridge, no wifi
