Kirk House is a beautiful B&B with gracious hosts. It exceeded my expectations by far

Steven and Rene (owners) are delightful and friendly. The B&B is beautiful, clean, well maintained and comfortable. The breakfasts were exceptionally tasty. I loved fresh hot coffee brought to our door each morning at 7am. We had water in our room each day and lovely, homemade treats each afternoon. We had a little outside sitting area just outside our room as well (like a little secret garden). Everything was fabulous! You'll love it here.

A most enjoyable stay with many unplanned positive experiences.

Our hosts Steve and Renee were a joy to interact with, so friendly and helpful. Breakfasts each morning were superb, all freshly cooked and served by our hosts. The historic home is comfortable and charming.

Easy walk to this historic home from the ferry. Steve and Renee are kind, interesting and helpful hosts. Early morning coffee basket was a treat. The breakfasts were delicious. Felt very relaxed and spoiled here.

Can't think of anything I didn't like.

Great ambience and worthwhile place to sleep on your island vacation.

Nice host and a nice cottage. Great location and great amenities. It had everything we needed. I would visit again.

There was not really anything we didn't like. I think the trash can lid was not working.

Charming Arts & Craft bungalow in nice location.

Our transportation was first the ferry, then our car, which we used to see the entire island, well worth the drive. The Kirkhouse (or is it Kirk House?? I've see it both ways) location is superb, as is breakfast. Very nice to have coffee set outside door before breakfast begins! The bed was very comfortable and the owner generously rented the film "Five Easy Pieces" for us when I mentioned it was partially set in the San Juan Islands. That was above and beyond! . Good wifi, no issues. And it's all on one floor, a bungalow, which wasn't clear to me in the room descriptions on the website.

I am very fond of Arts & Crafts design, so decor of house was pleasing to me. I would have enjoyed speaking with the owner(s) about this, but I think Steve hasn't researched that, and Renee was at her bank job. I had expected a small patio outside our french doors to the side of house, but there were only a few steps. I suggest that adding a small brick (or wood, or concrete) area for a bistro table and two chairs would really add to the experience on pretty days. Two housekeeping suggestions: add grab bar(s) in bathroom and replace the window/door treatment (the thin "netting" only) with the same but newer so it's not discolored. One day, if bathroom is enlarged, it would be nice to have the sink in the bathroom, not in the bedroom, but this really didn't bother us for our brief stay.
