After more than 25 years of travelling with friends and colleagues, I can confidently say I’ve seen it all and done it all. Very little surprises me anymore.
Yet, Karapuzha Water Scapes in Wayanad managed to stand out.
The views are nothing short of breathtaking wide, calming waters paired with a sense of stillness that’s hard to find these days. The villas are clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, offering a comfortable retreat from the noise of routine life.
I spent two days there, and it was genuinely refreshing.
Yes, the place has its shortcomings but nothing that can’t be managed with a bit of planning and the right expectations. What it offers in return is far more valuable: peace, space, and an experience that feels authentic rather than manufactured.
If you’re tired of predictable, overpriced stays and are looking for something grounded yet memorable, this is a place worth considering.
A bit of planning goes a long way here you’ll need to sort your lunch and dinner in advance. That said, they do offer a dedicated kitchen facility, which gives you flexibility if you prefer managing your own meals.
We did face a water issue initially, but to their credit, it was resolved without much delay.
The beds are slightly worn out, but still comfortable enough for a good night’s rest.
