We enjoyed our stay. It had rained a bunch so it was muddy on the roads. The tents were clean and had plenty of blankets, it got down in the 30s at night. They offered heaters for a small fee. They provided towels as well. Battery in tent worked great for what we needed, lamp, fan, charging phones, hair straightener.

The true camping experience ! our weather was rough (Raining almost the whole time) Maybe some more wood chipped walkways around the campground would have kept us out of the mud.

We had a great stay at the Starlight Retreat. My Family stayed in Teepee number one. It was spacious and comfortable. After a long day hiking in Yellowstone it was nice to have a place with comfortable beds to crash. We had plenty of blankets for the cool nights. The shower trailers and bathrooms were clean. Currently they are building shower and bathrooms on sight. The staff was friendly and helpful. Each night they lit a campfire and had smores which allowed for conversation with others who were there in camp. Overall a great experience. It is Glamping at its best. Thanks Starlight for a great stay. Kirk Evans

I am hopeful that this place will eventually become a place I’d like to revisit with my grandsons. My granddaughters and I spent one night in a teepee. Although it was nice, it did not have the HEATER and double bunk beds that we read about. It was in the low 40s the night we stayed. The white comforters were probably not the best choice of colors for this type of accommodation, as each one had various dirty spots on the topside. Also, our power station was only at 12% when we arrived and was dead when we returned from the campfire around 10:30. Therefore, we had no lighting! This should have been checked and swapped out by the staff before we arrived. Another issue was that there were not enough bathrooms/showers for the number of guests staying throughout. Loaning out a trailer of bathrooms/showers was probably not the best decision given the number of guests staying at this location. Like I stated above, this place is “A work in Progress” and the bathrooms are still under construction, as well as the central common area. In other reviews, I read that gravel had been brought in to cover the roads; however, the very limited amount of gravel is still in a pile and needs to be spread out. Which leads me to another point. The dirt road back into the check-in, common-area, bathrooms/showers and to our teepee is rough and was washed out due to 4-days of rain prior to our arrival. These roads should have been graded daily! Sweet Little Village! Feeling Hopeful!

Starlight Retreat was beautiful and relaxing. With a large family, it’s hard to find accommodations where we can all stay without having to book two. The large family tipi sleeps seven comfortably. It was impeccably clean and uniquely beautiful. 10/10 recommend!

The potential here is fantastic- too bad we didn’t stay here in a year. I do understand why they decided to open and not lose out on the season, but you are walking into a construction site, and not amazing temporary bathrooms. The tipi was really fantastic (needs some more lamps but we managed), the beds were crazy comfy and I slept like a baby. The check in was rough (no staff, I texted 4 hours ahead of our arrival and they only responded at the last minute after I tried to get in touch multiple times), and like I said, the main site is completely unfinished, bathrooms were out of order, construction equipment there… all that being said, when it’ll be done with the permanent bathrooms and the coffee stand, it’s going to be a really cool place to stay. So, skip the 2023 season but give it a shot in 2024.

We had high hopes for this part of our trip - a night away from the rush of things and a touch more of nature. Didn't happen. The photos showing the teepee sites make it look much more remote and scenic. The reality is the teepee matched the photo, but it's not the actual site. All the tents are cobbled together under a grove of trees and really the only thing you can see are the trees and the other tents and teepees. The teepee itself is beautiful and very nice. The beds were comfortable and the teepee was very clean and well designed. It was the rest of the site that was incredibly disappointing. It is not far enough away from the road that we did not sleep because of the sound of the trucks on the road all night. The road into the site is dirt and it had rained so there were ruts and it was difficult to drive into. The bathrooms were not yet constructed so there were portable bathrooms and showers. I found no light in the bathroom and only cold water. The shower had hot water but also could not find a light. They were also such a distance away from the teepee and tent that at night it was difficult to navigate and concerning given area wildlife. We paid to get propane for a heater for the teepee and it was still very cold and we stayed in June. Almost everyone slept in all our clothes plus extra blankets we brought with us. We booked hoping for a retreat from the world and found we were really just sleeping outside next to the noisy road.

This glampsite is still under construction. We received an email prior informing us, it promised us we wouldn’t notice much and they insured us excellent temporary sanitary facilities. However, the roads on the site were very bad and the temporary sanitary provisions were dirty, a couple out of order, just overall terrible! A lot of work needs to happen there to make it a good experience.
