Located in the hills, a little away from the beach, it was very peaceful and quiet. The staff were also very friendly, and the facilities were excellent.

Great stay at Deep Roots Resort with beautifully designed, tranquil grounds and comfortable rooms that felt both serene and refined. The staff were warm, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was seamless. My husband especially enjoyed the daily morning yoga and meditation sessions, while the massages were deeply restorative. The evening stories and thoughtful treats before bed added a charming, luxurious touch to the experience.
Our two boys completed their SSI Open Water certification with Lewis and the team and had an incredible, confidence-building experience in very capable hands. We felt genuinely cared for from start to finish and would not hesitate to return.

The hotel staff are really friendly and very helpful
This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at during our trip to Bali / Lombok, and by far the worst. We asked for an upgrade upon arrival (with an extra charge), but the room was nowhere near worth the price. There was some kind of pump or engine that made an irregular motor noise day and night (at first we thought someone was mowing the lawn).
We sent some clothes to the laundry service and didn’t even think of checking the rates, as it wasn’t the first time we used this service in Indonesia: €25 (!) just to wash a few t-shirts, shorts and underwear (including one t-shirt ruined after washing, so in the end we “only” paid €12.5 for the load… thank you for the incredible commercial gesture).
The food at the hotel is not great, and the property is very isolated, so without transport there’s no way to get around (the hotel doesn’t organize transfers except to the port, and it’s not cheap either).
